2011-08-12 Friday News August 12, 2011 August 12, 2011 Thank You This is my final edition of the Friday News before I leave my position in Mendota Heights. I wanted to thank each of you for the support that you provided to me, especially when I started my position. I want to especially thank the City Council that hired me in 2009. Mayor Huber and Councilmembers Vitelli, Duggan, Krebsbach and Schneeman gave me a chance to work in city government that I have truly appreciated. Councilmembers Petschel and Povolny have offered the same type of support and I appreciate that as well. As most of you know I am leaving my position to become the city administrator in Farmington. This is my hometown, a place where I have served on the city council and a city that I still call home today. The job will be challenging but the personal and professional rewards that it offers were too much to pass up. Mendota Heights gave me a chance to work in city government and bring in a new style of leadership. The work that I have done here was intended to make our organization a more efficient and modern organization, and I think we have succeeded in that aspect. To the employees of the organization I say thank you for the time we have spent as colleagues. Thank you also goes out the members of our three city commissions. The work you do is very valuable and very much appreciated. I wish each of you the best in the future and remember I am not far away and our paths will continue to cross. Thanks again and enjoy the rest of the summer! David Human Resources Update City staff members interviewed the three final candidates for the Account Tech position that is currently vacant in the Finance Department.
