04 05 24 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 03/29/24, 1406 HOURS, 16XX MAYFIELD HEIGHTS RD THEFT Officer received a report of mail that was stolen from a residential mailbox in the 1600 block of Mayfield Heights Road. The mail contained blank checks that are now being forged in various cities in the metro area. Case is under investigation. 03/29/24, 2257 HOURS, 494W DWI Officers were responding to 494WB for a report of a wrong-way driver. Officers found a vehicle in the ditch of the 494WB ramp. Officers determined the driver was intoxicated and had weapons in the vehicle. Officers arrested one adult male for DWI. Driver was booked in the Dakota County Jail for Third Degree DWI. 03/30/24, 1808 HOURS, 9XX DOWNING ST DOMESTIC Officers received a report of a domestic assault on the 900 block of Downing Street. Officers arrived on scene and upon speaking with an adult female and adult male, officers learned a domestic assault did occur and the male was arrested and transported to jail. 03/31/24, 1816 HOURS, 12XX DELAWARE AVE DOMESTIC Officers responded to the 1200 block of Delaware Ave for a report of a physical domestic assault. After speaking with all parties, a female was arrested for domestic assault. The female was transported to Dakota County Jail. 04/01/24, 0011 HOURS, CONCORD ST/6TH ST ST, SSP AOA Female officer responded to assist another agency with a search of a female in custody. Case forwarded to Inver Grove Heights Police. 04/01/24, 2156 HOURS, DODD RD/WENTWORTH AVE DWI Officers received a driving complaint on Dodd Road and Wentworth Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and observed it to fail to maintain its lane. Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the adult male driver. The driver had signs of impairment and SFSTs were conducted. The driver was placed under arrest for DWI and transported to jail. March 29th—April 4th, 2024 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 04/01/24, 2121 HOURS, 3XX E ST THREATS Officers responded to the 300 block of E Street in Mendota for a report of a person threatening to shoot another person with a gun. Officers arrived on scene and received conflicting statements from the reporting party and the suspect. The suspect and reporting party were advised to avoid contact with each other. 04/02/24, 1036 HOURS, 494/PILOT KNOB RD THREATS Officer responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of 494 and Pilot Knob Rd. Dispatch aired there were minor injuries. After speaking with both parties, it was determined that one of the drivers drove through a red light. That driver was transported to the hospital. 04/02/24, 1506 HOURS, HWY 62/HWY 13 MENTAL HEALTH Officers received a report of a male sitting in the middle of the road on the Mendota Bridge. Upon officers arrival, the male was located sitting in the middle of the road. The male was transported to the hospital. 04/02/24, 2150 HOURS, 21XX HWY 13 HARASSING COMMUNICATION Officers were dispatched a phone report involving harassing communications at the 2100 block of Highway 13. Officers spoke to the victim on the phone and advised the victim of their options. Officers tried to contact the suspect but were unsuccessful. 04/03/24, 2151 HOURS, 9XX DOWNING ST OFP VIOLATION Officers responded to the 900 Block of Downing Street for a report of a DANCO violation in progress. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect upon arrival. A KOPS alert was issued for the suspect. 04/03/24, 2357 HOURS, HWY 13/LILYDALE RD TRAFFIC STOP Officer was on routine patrol at the intersection of Sutcliff Circle and Highway 13. Officer observed a vehicle with one headlight driving south on Highway 13. Officer observed expired tabs and had confirmed tabs had expired nearly two years prior. Driver was cited for no MN registration. March 29th—April 4th, 2024 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 04/04/24, 2109 HOURS, 7XX N PLAZA DR SUSPICIOUS PERSON Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of North Plaza Dr for a report of a suspicious person. Officers arrived on scene and gathered information. Individual was identified and found to have active warrants. Individual was transported to the hospital by medics. Case to be forwarded to the county attorney. March 29th—April 4th, 2024
