02 02 24 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 01/27/24, 1129 HOURS, 8XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY BURGLARY Officers responded to a past-action burglary on the 800 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. A lock was broken to gain access to a secure area containing construction equipment. Several items were stolen. Under investigation. 01/27/24, 1401 HOURS, 6XX MARIE AVE THEFT Officer responded to the 600 block of Marie Avenue on a report of a single license plate being stolen from a vehicle sometime in the past 24 hours. No suspects. 01/28/24, 2213 HOURS, HWY 13/RIVERSIDE LN FLEEING Officer was on routine patrol on the 700 block of Highway 13. Officer observed a vehicle with equipment violations and the owner listed as revoked. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled from the officer. For the safety of others, the officer did not pursue. The vehicle was later found unoccupied and towed. 01/29/24, 0912 HOURS, 18XX SUMMIT LN MISSING PERSON Officer took a missing person report form the 1800 block of Summit Lane. Party had last contact with the family member two days prior to report. Party is concerned about mental health and substance abuse. Party entered as missing. 01/30/24, 1352 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE ASSAULT Officer responded to location on an assault report. One student was physically assaulted by another student at lunch. Students were interviewed and a citation was issued to one student for 5th Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct. 01/30/24, 1914 HOURS, 19XX TWIN CIRCLE DR DWI Officer was dispatched to a drunkenness call at the 1900 block of Twin Circle Drive. A homeowner reported a postal worker who was intoxicated. The male admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and driving his route. The male failed roadside SFST's and was arrested for 3rd Degree DWI. January 26th—February 1st, 2024 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 01/30/24, 2214 HOURS, MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD/DODD RD CHECK WELFARE Officers responded to the intersection of Mendota Heights Road and Dodd Road to check the welfare of a person sleeping on a bench. Officers arrested the person on a warrant out of Hennepin County and transported them to Dakota County Jail. 01/31/24, 0948 HOURS, 2XXX VICTORIA RD S RUNAWAY Officer responded to the 2000 block of Victoria Road on a report of a runaway. Area checked. Unable to locate the juvenile. Person was entered as a runaway and their local police agency was informed. A few hours later, the juvenile was located by St Paul Police and transported to the Dakota County Juvenile Detention Center. 01/31/24, 1247 HOURS, VAIL DR/LEXINGTON AVE WARRANT Officers made a traffic stop on Vail Dr and Lexington Ave. Adult male driver had an active warrant. Adult male driver was arrested and taken to Dakota County Jail. 01/31/24, 1450 HOURS, 11XX VICTORIA CURVE MENTAL HEALTH Officer took a walk-in crisis involving a juvenile at the Mendota Heights Police Department. A juvenile expressed suicidal ideation. Officer spoke with a guardian who asked the that the juvenile be returned to the residence. January 26th—February 1st, 2024
