01 05 24 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/29/23, 0433 HOURS, 1XXX 8TH AVE S., SSP AOA Officers assisted another agency with an uncooperative individual. The individual was resisting officers and eventually restrained. 12/29/23, 1351 HOURS, 14XX NORTHLAND DR THEFT Officer received a report of a theft at a local business. Office items were missing the building and there is a potential suspect. Under investigation. 12/30/23, 0359 HOURS, 35E/WAGON WHEEL TR MENTAL HEALTH Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle 35E and Wagon Wheel Tr. The adult female driver was in crisis and officers were able to deescalate the female. Officers recommended resources and got in contact with a family friend who was able to take care of the female. Officers recovered a fake Illinois ID from the female and will not be pursuing charges. 12/30/23, 1645 HOURS, VICTORIA CURVE/D STREET PD ACCIDENT On 12/30/2023 at approximately 1645 hours, officer was dispatched to a vehicle off the road at Victoria Curve and D Street. When I arrived on scene, I met with the driver who indicated he was unable to navigate as the road curved to the left, and he was unable to stop, resulting in him striking a stop sign pole. The stop sign pole was bent and leaning, and the top on the stop sign had the street signs, which are no longer attached. The vehicle had disabling front end damage on the driver's side and a flat tire. Driver stated he would contact insurance for a tow. 12/31/23, 0805 HOURS, 5XX FREMONT ST MISSING PERSON Officer was called by woman living on the 500 block of Fremont Street reference a missing person. Information collected and a report completed. The party was entered as missing. The next day officer was notified that the individual was located. 12/31/23, 1619 HOURS, 12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD MENTAL HEALTH Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road for a welfare check. Officer made contact with the party and determined it to be a mental health crisis. The party was transported to the hospital by paramedics. December 29th—January 4th 2024 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 1/2/24, 0913 HOURS, 19XX ROBERT ST AOA Officer's were called to a closed business on the south end of Robert Street to assist a neighboring jurisdiction with a burglary in progress. The suspect was taken into custody. 1/2/24, 1218 HOURS, BEEBE AVE SCAM Officer took an identity theft report from Beebe Ave. Reporting party had received several credit cards and other applications made under their identity without their permission or knowledge. Case under investigation. 1/3/24, 1119 HOURS, 24XX ENTERPRSE DR FRAUD Officer responded to the 2400 block of Enterprise Drive on a report of Financial Transaction Card Fraud. Suspect identified. Case is under investigation. 1/3/24, 2318 HOURS, SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY/RIVERSIDE LN PURSUIT Officers observed a suspicious vehicle leave a construction parking lot on the 800 block of Highway 13. Officer turned around to follow the vehicle, the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. Officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle continued to flee on Highway 13. Officer gave chase and eventually terminated the pursuit in the city of St. Paul. Officers were unable to identify the license plate on the rear of the vehicle. At this time there's no suspect information and it does not appear that any property was stolen from the 800 block of Highway 13. 1/4/24, 0928 HOURS, 8XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY BURGLARY Officer responded to the 800 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy on a report of a burglary. A construction company stated there were suspects on camera carrying tools. He checked the job site and there were tools missing. No suspects at this time. December 29th—January 4th 2024
