12 15 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/07/23, 1104 HOURS, 8XX BARBARA CT THEFT FROM MV Victim had their truck parked in the 800 block of Barbara Ct. An unknown male entered the truck and stole a phone. The phone was located on Victoria Rd near Lexington Av. Property turned over to owner. Case Inactive 12/07/23, 2324 HOURS, PILOT KNOB/494 HIT AND RUN Officers were dispatched to a hit and run accident at Pilot Knob/494. Officers checked area and were unable to locate the suspect vehicle that fled. Officers spoke with the male victim and gathered information for a report. The suspect vehicle left a front license plate at the scene of the accident. Officers put a KOPS alert out on the vehicle and attempted to make contact with the registered owner. At this time there's limited suspect information and officers have been unable to contact the registered owner of the striking vehicle. 12/08/23, 1754 HOURS, 7XX N PLAZA DR SHOPLIFTING Officers responded to the 700 block of North Plaza Drive for a report of a theft in progress. The case is currently inactive due to a lack of suspect information. 12/08/23, 2245 HOURS, HWY 55/NORTHLAND DR WARRANT ARRESTS Officer as on routine patrol in the area of Highway 55 and Northland Dr. Officer stopped a vehicle for the registered owner showing a warrant. Officer arrested the adult male driver who was the party with a warrant. An adult female passenger requested a ride from officers; after running checks on her she came back with a warrant. Both parties were arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. Vehicle towed. Report made. 12/09/23, 0149 HOURS, SIBLEY MEMORIAL/LEXINGTON IMPOUND MV Officer was on routine patrol in the area of Highway 13 and Lexington Ave. Officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 1200 block of 4th St in Mendota. Officers also located two adult females walking in the area. The vehicle was parked on private property; officers spoke to the property owner who did not recognize the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded and there was a dog inside the vehicle that impounded at the South St Paul animal hospital. Report made. 12/09/23, 1957 HOURS, WENTWORTH/DELAWARE ACCIDENT Officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Wentworth Ave and Delaware Rd with minor damage to private property. No injuries reported. Both vehicles had damage but weren't towed. A state crash report will be submitted. December 8th—December 15th 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/10/23, 0100 HOURS, 7XX MARIE AVE ASSAULT Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Marie Ave for an assault that took place earlier in the night at a house party. Victim was struck multiple times in the face. Suspect is unknown at this time. Victim does not want to press charges. Case Status: Informational 12/10/23, 1928 HOURS, 1XXX VICTORIA RD S PUBLIC ASSIST Officer received a report of an pedestrian laying in the street on the 1600 block of Victoria Rd. Patient appeared to be intoxicated and said he was hit by a car. After investigation there was no evidence of a hit and run. Medics transported patient to the hospital. Informational report taken. 12/11/23, 0026 HOURS, LEXINGTON/HWY 62 WARRANT ARREST Officer was on routine patrol and ran a license plate that came back with the registered owner having a warrant. Officer stopped the vehicle at Lexington Ave and Highway 62. The registered owner was in the passenger seat. The adult male was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. Report made. 12/11/23, 1439 HOURS, 1XXX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY OFP/DANCO VIOLATION Officer dispatched to take a report of an OFP/DANCO violation in the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Officer made contact with the victim and was informed the suspect contacted the victim via text message. Officer took information from victim for report and forwarded to County Attorney for a warrant. 12/11/23, 1616 HOURS, 2XXX PILOT KNOB RD HIT & RUN Officer responded to the 2300 block of Pilot Knob Road to take a report of a hit and run that occurred in a parking lot. Officer gathered information and report was written. Case is inactive. 12/11/23, 1924 HOURS, 6XX VALLEY LANE DOMESTIC Officer received a report of a domestic assault in the 600 block of Valley Ln where the reporting party had been slapped. Officer investigated the report and determined an assault had occurred. An adult suspect was arrested and transported to jail. 12/11/23, 2013 HOURS, 20XX VICTORIA RD S MENTAL HEALTH Officers responded to the 2000 block of Victoria Road S for a report of a juvenile causing a disturbance at a group home and saying he will hurt people. Officers talked to the juvenile and staff. The juvenile was placed on a hold and transported to a local hospital. Case Status: Informational December 8th—December 15th 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 12/12/23, 0945 HOURS, 23XX LEXINGOTON AVE ACCIDENT Officer drove past a two-vehicle accident and stopped to help. Information was collected and a report was completed. One party was issued a citation. The report is for information only. Cleared with a report. 12/12/23, 1722 HOURS, 7XX PLAZA DR THEFT Officer was dispatched to a report of a theft that occurred on the 700 block of Plaza Drive. Employee called to report a theft that occurred, then stated they did not need police assistance. Employee later requested a police report. Case inactive due to low solvability. 12/12/23, 2256 HOURS, 35E N DUI Officer initiated a traffic stop on I-35E and HWY 13 for expired registration and lane line violations. Driver exhibited signs of intoxication. Officer conducted SFSTs. Driver refused PBT and was arrested. Driver refused DMT. Driver was transported to Dakota County Jail. Case Status: Adult Arrest 12/13/23, 1121 HOURS, 14XX NORTHLAND DR DRUGS Officer responded to 1400 block of Northland Dr, for a report of a found bag containing pills. Officer took custody of the items and gathered information. Items were placed into evidence for destruction. Report written. Case Status: Report 12/13/23, 1326 HOURS, 25XX CONCORD WAY MEDICAL Requested to check the welfare of an adult female that lives in the 2500 block of Concord Way. Contact was made, M Health was requested. Because of the condition of the residence, social services will be notified. Forwarded to social services 12/13/23, 1557 HOURS, 11XX VICTORIA CURVE WARARNT Officer was notified of a party at the police department lobby wanting to turn themselves in on their warrants. Warrants were confirmed and the party was transported to Dakota County Jail. 12/14/23, 2219 HOURS, HWY 13 PURSUIT Officer was on routine patrol of Highway 13 and Riverside Lane. Officer observed a vehicle pass another vehicle and after catching up to the vehicle the Officer locked in an excessive speed. The Officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle was slow to stop and eventually stopped on Highway 13 and Annapolis Street. Shortly after stopping the vehicle took off and was pursued until it fled the area. A KOPS alert was put out on the vehicle and St. Paul Police Department located the vehicle at the Registered owner's address. A juvenile was taken into custody and was transported to the Dakota County Juvenile Detention Facility. Case Status: Juvenile Arrest. Send to City attorney for charging.
