11 09 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 11/03/23, 0709 HOURS, HYW 62/CHARLTON RD THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE Officer took a theft of motor vehicle in progress in the 900 Block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. Officer gathered information and collected evidence but were not able to locate the suspect. Officers later located the suspect in the 1700 Block of Marie Ave W. Suspect was taken into custody and later transported to the hospital. 11/03/23, 1826 HOURS, 1778 TRAIL RD RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 1700 block of Trail Road. Officers determined that the vehicle was stolen and it was towed for processing. 11/03/23, 2211 HOURS, HWY 13/2ND ST PD ACCIDENT Officer was dispatched to a rollover accident at Highway 13/2nd Street. Dispatch indicated that a vehicle had rolled over off the road into the ditch to veer for a deer and that there were no injuries. I arrived and found the vehicle in the ditch between 2nd St and Highway 13. The vehicle sustained significant damage and was sitting upright on it's wheels. 11/04/23, 2214 HOURS, HWY 62/LEXINGTON AVE DWI Officers dispatched to a road and driving complaint in the area of Highway 62 and Lexington Ave. Dispatch advised that the suspect vehicle was weaving all over the road, went into the ditch and then kept driving. Officers made contact with suspect vehicle and arrested the adult male driver for DWI. Adult male driver was taken to the Dakota County Jail. 11/05/23, 0332 HOURS, HWY 62/DELAWARE AVE DRUGS Officers conducted a traffic stop on vehicle at 50th/Mendota. Officers located illegal substances in plain view inside of vehicle. Officers arrested one adult male and found an illegally carried handgun in the male's possession. Officers searched the male and the vehicle and found more illegal substances. Officers transported the male to jail and towed the vehicle. 11/06/23, 0348 HOURS, 35E/WAGON WHEEL TR WARRANT Officer conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for a broken headlight on Highway 13 at Lilydale Rd. Adult male driver arrested for outstanding warrant. November 3rd—November 8th, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 11/06/23, 0827 HOURS, 2XXX DODD RD THEFT Officer was requested to call a business located near the 2000 block of Dodd Road reference a theft that had taken place over the weekend. There was good video evidence obtained from the business. A suspect was identified. Cleared with a citation. 11/06/23, 1536 HOURS, 494/PILOT KNOB RD PI ACCIDENT Officers responded to a crash at Pilot Knob & 494 WB entrance ramp. Both vehicles were disabled and towed away from the scene. One driver was mailed a citation. 11/06/23, 1646 HOURS, HWY 62/HWY 13 DWI Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle at Hwy 62 and Hwy 13 for a revoked license. Driver of the vehicle wasn't the registered owner but open containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for DWI. 11/06/23, 1751 HOURS, 7XX N PLAZA DR DISTURBANCE Officer responded to a local business for a dispute. One party had left prior to the officer's arrival. Investigation determined no crime occurred. Informational report. 11/08/23, 1004 HOURS, 7XX MARKET ST FRAUD Officer took a report of a past action check fraud report in the 700 block of Market Street. Officer gathered information. Pending camera footage. 11/08/23, 1003 HOURS, 11XX ORCHARD CI OFP VIOLATION Officer responded to the 1100 block of Orchard Circle on a report of restraining Order violation. An alert was placed metro wide to attempt to locate the suspect. A citation was issued for the violation. 11/08/23, 1848 HOURS, 18XX DELWARE AVE THEFT Officers took a report of a cellphone theft from a locker. The theft occurred during an after school event. Under investigation. 11/08/23, 2016 HOURS, 5XX ABBEY WAY THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE Officers responded to the 500 block of Abbey Way for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had already fled the area prior to officer's arrival. Officers gathered information and listed the vehicle as stolen in NCIC. No suspects at this time. November 3rd—November 8th, 2023
