10 27 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 10/20/23, 0308 HOURS, HYW 62/DELAWARE AVE WARRANT Officer was on routine patrol near the intersection of Highway 62 and Delaware Ave. Officer observed a vehicle cut off another driver. That vehicle also had expired tabs. Officer stopped vehicle and driver was arrested on a felony warrant and fugitive of justice (out of state). The driver was booked in the Dakota County Jail. 10/20/23, 1341 HOURS, 9XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD ASSAULT An assault took place in a parking lot in the 900 block of Mendota Heights Rd. Prior to the assault, there was some criminal damage to property that took place. There are no injuries to the victim, minor damage to the property. A request to the property owner has been made for possible video of the incident. The unknown suspect left the area before any vehicle information was obtained. Video was obtained but lacks any suspect information. 10/20/23, 1628 HOURS, 11XX ORCHARD CI HRO VIOLATION Officers responded to the 1100 Block of Orchard Circle to investigate an HRO violation. Officer spoke with the complainant who stated she was receiving emails and texts from her ex and a HRO was in place. A KOPS alert was issued for the suspect and will be charged with violating the restraining order. 10/21/23, 0336 HOURS, DODD RD/DECORAH LN DWI While on routine patrol, officer observed a vehicle frequently tapping their brakes and had no rear license plate. Officer initiated a traffic stop and observed bloodshot, watery eyes and an open bottle of alcohol in the back of the car. Field sobriety tests were given and the driver was ultimately arrested for DWI. 10/23/23, 0031 HOURS, HWY 62/DODD RD DANCO VIOLATION Officer stopped for a motorist assist on Dodd Rd/Hwy 62. Officers spoke with adult male and female occupants and learned there was a DANCO in place between the two. The female was arrested and transported to jail. 10/23/23, 1604 HOURS, 9XX DOUGLAS RD THEFT Officer responded to location on a theft of license plate call. Victim stated he noticed his rear plate was missing and he knows it was on there secure. Officer advised to remove his front license plate and contact the DMV to request new plates. The license plate was entered into NCIC as stolen. October 20th—October 26th, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 10/23/23, 1615 HOURS, 22XX ROGERS CT IDENTITY THEFT Officers took a fraud report from the 2200 block of Rogers Court. Reporting party was contacted by an unknown party and ultimately provided personal information. No money was lost. Accounts and personal information were frozen. No suspects. 10/24/23, 0852 HOURS, 3XX E ST IDENTITY THEFT Officer responded to location on a report of identity theft. Victim claimed an unknown person signed and deposited his MN rental rebate check without his permission. Under investigation. 10/24/23, 2030 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY DWI Officer received a report of an adult passed out in a vehicle. Officer saw signs of impairment and ran the male through SFST's. Officers arrested the male for DWI and transported him to jail. 10/25/23, 1058 HOURS, 7XX KNOLLWOOD CT FRAUD Officer was dispatched to contact a victim of a phishing scam. The reporting party did not incur a loss. A report was written and the reporting party was provided with resources. 10/25/23, 2300 HOURS, HWY 13/LEXINGTON AVE WARRANT Officer was on routine patrol near the intersection of Highway 13 and Lexington Avenue. Officer observed a vehicle with expired tabs. Officer stopped the vehicle, identified a passenger for not wearing a seat belt, and arrested the passenger on multiple warrants. The driver was warned and released. The passenger was arrested and transported to the Dakota County Jail. 10/26/23, 1334 HOURS, 22XX APACHE ST ASSAULT Resident in the 2200 block of Apache St approached an occupied vehicle where the occupants were smoking marijuana. There was an argument, the resident went to call the police, and was struck by the vehicle as it was leaving the scene. Minor injury to the victim. Possible partial plate, but no known make or model. Described as a white foreign passenger car, 4 door. A KOPS Alert was issued. October 20th—October 26th, 2023
