10 20 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 10/14/23, 2009 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY DWI/WARRANT Officers responded to the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway for a report of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers investigated and arrested the driver for DWI and a passenger for an outstanding felony warrant. 10/15/23, 0221 HOURS, 35E/HWY 13 FLEEING Officer observed a vehicle with a headlight out so attempted to pursue. The vehicle increased speed. Lights and sirens activated and the vehicle continued to pick up speed. The vehicle eventually came to a stop and the driver was arrested for Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle. 10/16/23, 1710 HOURS, 7XX N PLAZA DR WARRANT Officers responded to a disturbance near the 700 block of North Plaza Drive reported as juveniles being inside a store causing a disturbance. Officers found the males nearby and identified them. One had an active warrant and was taken into custody. The others were trespassed from the original location. 10/16/23, 2031 HOURS, 9XX CHIPPEWA AVE HARASSING COMMUNICATION Officer received a report from a parent about harassing communication her daughter is receiving through Instagram. Report forwarded to the SRO at Two Rivers High School for investigation. 10/17/23, 1313 HOURS, 22XX DODD RD MENTAL HEALTH Officer responded to the 2200 block of Dodd Road on a report of a person in crisis. After consulting with their mental health case manager we gave the person a ride home. 10/18/23, 1213 HOURS, 17XX LEXINGTON AVE THEFT Officer responded to a theft by swindle that happened in the 1700 block of Lexington Avenue. The victim received a phone call from a woman who sounded like his grandsons girlfriend. She said she was in an accident and needed bail money in the amount of $9,000. He was put in touch with a MPD “Officer” and an “Attorney” who advised him to go to the bank and get $9,000 cash out and a it would be picked up by man. An unknown Hispanic male in a black sedan came and picked up the money and then left. He then called the grandsons girlfriend and learned she was not in jail. Unable to identify a suspect.
