10 13 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 10/7/23, 0138 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY THEFT Officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway for a theft. A person reported their keys went missing while they left them unattended for a few minutes. There are no suspects. Video will be requested during business hours. Case pending. 10/8/23, 0108 HOURS, HWY 62/DODD RD DWI Officer was on routine patrol near the intersection of Highway 62 and Dodd Road. Officer saw a vehicle attempting to enter Highway 62 in the wrong direction. Officer stopped driver and observed alcohol impairment. Officer completed roadside field sobriety tests on the driver. The driver was arrested for DWI, was cited and booked and released at the Dakota County Jail for 4th Degree DWI. 10/9/23, 2336 HOURS, 2XXX VICTORIA RD RUNAWAY Officer received a report of a missing person in the 2300 block of Victoria Rd Mendota Heights. Juvenile was entered as missing. The juvenile was located the following day and removed as a missing person. 10/10/23, 1000 HOURS, 16XX LILAC LN THEFT Officer received a report of a theft by swindle that happened via the internet in the 1600 block of Lilac Lane. Caller was advised to also report it to the FBI via their online reporting tool. 10/10/23, 1334 HOURS, 2XXX DODD RD HIT & RUN Officer was dispatched to contact a victim of a hit-and-run that occurred at the gas pumps a day prior. He waited to report it hoping the gas station got video of the incident. A suspect was discovered yet it was determined that the minor damage was accidental and they were unaware it happened. 10/10/23, 2250 HOURS, DODGE LN/DELAWARE AVE DWI Officer observed a suspicious running vehicle in a neighborhood. Officers observed a person who appeared to be sleeping behind the wheel. After investigation, the party was suspected of being impaired by an unknown substance. Officers applied for a search warrant for a blood draw. Subject refused the warrant. He was transported to jail. 10/11/23, 2218 HOURS, HWY 62/HWY 35E DAC-IPS Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with obstructed plates WB 62/35E. Officers identified the male driver and learned that the male was cancelled IPS. Driver was arrested for cancelled IPS. The vehicle was towed and the plates were impounded. Driver was booked into jail. October 6th—October 12th, 2023
