09 08 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 9/1/23, 0320 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY WARRANT ARREST Officer was on patrol if the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Officer observed a person sitting near the entrance to a closed business. The person provided false information to the officer and was arrested on a felony warrant along with another misdemeanor level warrant. The person was cited for provided false information and booked into the Dakota County Jail. CASE STATUS: Warrant Arrest. 9/1/23, 1404 HOURS, 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY FRAUD Officer took report of a Wire Fraud in the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy, Officer gathered information and determined victim, wire transfered money to an out-of-country bank. Victim was able to get a refund on the majority of the money. Report written. Case Status: Inactive 9/2/23, 0029 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR DOMESTIC/OFP VIOLATION Officers were dispatched to a report of Domestic Assault on the 1300 block of Northland Drive. Officers spoke with both parties and witnesses. Officers arrested one party for Violation of a Order for protection. 9/2/23, 1208 HOURS, 12XX NORTHLAND DR CHILD PROTECTION Officers called to the 1200 block of Northland Drive for a reported child walking barefoot in the street. Officer located the child and brought him home. After interviewing the parents, Child Protective Services was involved. CPS has taken over the investigation. Case closed with a report. 9/2/23, 1540 HOURS, DODD/BACHELOR PI ACCIDENT Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash in the area of Dodd Road and Bachelor Ave. MN State Patrol took over the crash investigation. 9/2/23, 2256 HOURS, 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD TS/FLEEING Officer was parked monitoring traffic on I-35E and Mendota Heights Road. Officer observed a vehicle traveling north on I-35E at a high rate of speed. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle after catching up to it near I-35E and Highway 13. The vehicle took off and a pursuit ensued. Once the vehicle was stopped, the adult female driver was taken into custody. Once in custody, the driver had a medical episode and an ambulance was called. The driver was transported to the hospital. The driver will be formally charged. 9/3/23, 0235 HOURS, 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD AOA/FLEEING Officer on routine patrol on Highway 62 near Highway 13. Officer observed a vehicle that was wanted by South Saint Paul Police. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it fled. Officer pursued the vehicle until conditions became too unsafe and terminated. Occupants of the vehicle are unknown. Report made. September 1—September 7, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 9/3/23, 2059 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR DOMESTIC Officers received a report of a disturbance on the 1300 block of Northland Drive. Officers learned a mother and a daughter gotten into an argument and daughter struck mother multiple times. The daughter was transported to the hospital on a mental health hold. Daughter will be charged with domestic assault. 9/4/23, 0219 HOURS, 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD DWI Officer was monitoring traffic on I-35E and Mendota Heights Road. Officer observed a vehicle to be speeding egregiously. Officer stopped the vehicle and believed the adult male driver was intoxicated. The driver performed SFSTs and was placed under arrest. The driver was transported to jail for 3rd degree DWI. 9/4/23, 1042 HOURS, 19XX TWIN CIRCLE DR CIVIL Officers were called to the 1900 block of Twin Circle Drive for a civil disturbance involving multiple parties associated with a recently deceased person. They were all concerned with the deceased property and home. Officers provided a civil standby as well as advice moving forward. Information only. 9/4/23, 1136 HOURS, 20XX VICTORIA RD S ASSAULT Officer dispatched to an assault in progress at the 2000 block of Victoria Rd. The reporting party stated the two juvenile females were fighting another juvenile female. Officer arrived on scene and rendered aid. Officer located female that left residence and detained her. Officers gathered information from juvenile females and staff. Officer wrote report and forwarded for charging. 9/4/23, 1243 HOURS, 7XX SOUTH PLAZA WAY THEFT Officer called by a resident living on the 700 block of South Plaza Way who had his identity stolen and two credit cards opened in his name. Available information was collected and a report was completed. Forward to investigations. 9/5/23, 2023 HOURS, 7XX NORTH PLAZA DR THEFT Officers were dispatched to a theft in progress on the 700 block of North Plaza Drive. Officers were able to locate the suspect and take them into custody. Officers determined that a misdemeanor theft had occurred. Suspect was cited for the theft and released. 9/6/23, 0343 HOURS, 1XXX DAKOTA DR SUSPICIOUS Officers received a report of two individuals dumpster diving on the 1000 block of Dakota Drive. Upon Officers arrival, the individuals were still in the dumpster. Officers learned the adult male had a warrant and was arrested. Both the adult male and female were trespassed from the location.
