09 01 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 8/25/23, 0735 HOURS, 19XX TWIN CIRCLE DR AOA Responded to the 1900 block of Twin Circle Drive on a report of a person in crisis. It was determined that the person was reported missing mentally ill person by Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and was transported to Regions Hospital. No local charges. 8/25/23, 1100 HOURS, 7XX PLAZA DRIVE N THEFT A business in the 700 block of N. Plaza Dr. was victim of an attempted forgery. After making contact with the owner, it was discovered that an employee from this business stole this same check. Case Status: Forwarded to Investigations. 8/25/23, 1106 HOURS, 21XX HWY 13 FOUND PROPERTY Officer responded to the 2100 block of Highway 13 for a found wallet that contained suspected counterfeit US Currency. Case is under investigation. 8/26/23, 0200 HOURS, DODD ROAD DWI Officer was patrolling near the 2000 block of Dodd Road when the officer observed a vehicle speeding. Officer caught up to the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Dodd Road and Mendota Heights Road. The driver failed roadside SFST's and was arrested for 2nd degree DWI where he was booked at Dakota County Jail. 8/26/23, 1530 HOURS, 22XX COPPERFIELD DR TAMPER WITH MV Officer took a report of a vehicle tampered with on the 2000 block of Copperfield Drive. Information gathered and report written. Case inactive. 8/26/23, 1543 HOURS, 12XX CULLIGAN LN BURGLARY Officers were dispatched to a past action burglary report on the 1200 block of Culligan Ln. Officers met with the RP at the Police Department and took the report. There's no identifying suspect or vehicle information at this time. 8/27/23, 0203 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR DISORDERLY CONDUCT Officers were dispatched to a disturbance on the 1300 block of Northland Dr. Officers arrived and spoke with staff on scene who wanted a female trespassed. Staff directed officers to a specific room where the female was involved. Officers made contact with the female. Female was uncooperative with officers and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Female was trespassed and cited for disorderly conduct. Female was released to a sober ride and left property. August 25th—August 31st, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 8/28/23, 1250 HOURS, 14XX KNOLLWOOD LN SUSPICIOUS PERSON Officers were called to the 1400 block of Knollwood Lane for a reported suspicious male party walking around the outside of a house. We were told the male was not recognized by the homeowner and that he had not yet left the area. The male was located, and no crime was found. He was given directions. The report is for information only. 8/28/23, 1337 HOURS, 11XX VICTORIA CURVE HARASSING COMMUNICATION Investigators took information of ongoing harassment that has been ongoing for years. Investigators provided possible next steps for the victim to consider. 8/28/23, 1220 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE RUNAWAY Officer dispatched to a runaway report at the 1800 block of Delaware Ave. The reporting party advised that his son had runaway. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the juvenile. Officer completed a runaway report. 8/28/23, 1847 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE ASSAULT An individual reported having a gun pointed, or displayed at them within the City of Mendota Heights. Officer collected information and evidence. This matter is under investigation. 8/29/23, 1200 HOURS, 12XX NORTHLAND DR THREATS/STALKING A call center received a threats call from an individual stating they were going to come to the office with a gun. Staff evacuated the office for the day. Case under investigation. 8/29/23, 2009 HOURS, 7XX EVERGREEN KNOLL CIVIL ASSIST Officer responded to the 700 block of Evergreen Knoll regarding a civil issue. Report as information only. 8/29/23, 2108 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR FRAUD Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Northland Drive for a report of a male being held against his will. After making contact it was determined to be unfounded and officers found evidence of financial crimes fraud. 8/30/23, 0923 HOURS, 13XX SIBLEY MEM HWY BURGLARY Officer responded to 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy for a report of a past action burglary. Officer arrived and gathered information. Officer found a vehicle along with several miscellaneous items were stolen. Officer took photos of the scene. Vehicle entered as stolen. Pending footage from business of incident. August 25th—August 31st, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 8/30/23, 2025 HOURS, 5XX JUNCTION LN CRISIS/MENTAL HEALTH Officers responded to the 500 block of Junction Lane on a crisis. A person with suicidal ideation was assisted and officers worked with Dakota County Crisis to allow the person to remain at their home. Report was written for information only. Inactive. 8/31/23, 0433 HOURS, 10XX HWY 62 WARRANT ARREST Officer was on routine patrol near the 1000 block of Highway 62. Officer observed a vehicle with lights on parked in the back of a parking lot. Officer made contact with the driver and the driver was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant. Driver was booked in the Dakota County Jail on the warrant. 8/31/23, 1425 HOURS, 12XX DELAWARE AVE DOMESTIC Officer responded to the 1200 block of Delaware Ave on a domestic dispute in progress. Officer arrived on scene and took custody of a juvenile experiencing a mental health crisis. Juvenile was transported to the hospital. Forwarded to County Attorney for charging.
