08 04 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 7/27/23, 2353 HOURS, HWY 62/LEXINGTON AVE CRISIS/MENTAL HEALTH Officers initially responded to the intersection of Highway 62 and Lexington Avenue to assist state patrol for a pedestrian in the lane of traffic. Officers then learned it was a juvenile in crisis and they were transported by ambulance to the hospital. 7/29/23, 0023 HOURS, 21XX TIMMY ST BURGLARY On 07/29/2023 Officers were dispatched to a past action report of burglary on the 2100 block of Timmy St. Officers arrived and spoke with victims. Officers gathered information and wrote report. 7/29/23, 1200 HOURS, 14XX FARMDALE RD OFP VIOLATION Responded to the 1400 block of Farmdale Road on a report of a violation of a Harassment Restraining Order. Citation issued. Report filed. 7/30/23, 2038 HOURS, 20XX VICTORIA RD CRISIS/MENTAL HEALTH Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Victoria Road for a medical. A juvenile was transported to an area hospital on hold for self-harm. Dakota County Crisis notified. 7/30/23, 2239 HOURS, DODD RD DAC/IPS Officer Performed a random license plate check on a vehicle and saw the registered owner was listed to have a driving status of canceled-IPS. Officer stopped the vehicle and the adult male driver was confirmed to be the owner. The driver was arrested and transported to jail. 7/31/23, 1129 HOURS, 24XX LEXINGTON AVE ACCIDENT Officer called to the area of Lexington avenue and Medallion Drive for a reported vehicle accident. Information was collected and a report was completed. Cleared with a report. 7/31/23, 1232 HOURS, 10XX WAGON WHEEL TR DISTURBING THE PEACE Officers called to a park near the 1000 block of Wagon Wheel Trail for a male who seemed to be under the influence of a narcotic. He was found to have a warrant for his arrest. He was taken to jail for his warrant. 8/1/23, 0207 HOURS, SIBLEY MEM HWY FLEEING Officer was traveling southbound on the 800 block of Highway 13 when they observed a vehicle traveling northbound on the same block of Highway 13. Officer observed the vehicle to be speeding and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle then fled from the Officer and they lost sight of the vehicle. 8/1/23, 1515 HOURS, 7XX CHEYENNE LN INFO ONLY Officer was dispatched the 700 block of Cheyenne Lane for a report of a possible theft by swindle. Officer made contact with the reporting party and possible victim. Report as information only. July 28th — August 3rd, 2023 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report 8/1/23, 2026 HOURS, 12XX NORTHLAND DR RECOVERED PROPERTY Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Northland Drive for an abandoned trailer. Trailer was reported stolen out of Plymouth. Plymouth confirmed the trailer was stolen and it was impounded for safe keeping. 8/1/23, 2352 HOURS, 35E NB FLEEING Officer was parked monitoring traffic on I-35E and Mendota Heights Road. Officer observed two sedans traveling north at a high rate of speed. Officer attempted to stop the vehicles, but the vehicles failed to stop and a pursuit ensued. Officer terminated the pursuit once the vehicles exited onto city streets. One of the vehicles was found to be an unreported stolen vehicle. A KOPS Alert was sent out for the vehicles. 8/3/23, 0211 HOURS, WENTWORTH AVE 2nd DEG DWI Officer was on routine patrol at the intersection of Dodd Road and Highway 62. Officer observed a vehicle drive into the wrong lane of traffic while turning onto Dodd Road. Officer followed the vehicle for conduct and observed several more violations. The vehicle was stopped and the driver showed signs of alcohol consumption and impairment. The driver failed roadside SFSTs. The driver was arrested for 2nd Degree DWI and booked in the Dakota County jail. Case Status: DWI Arrest. 8/3/23, 0811 HOURS, 11XX VICTORIA CURVE MAARC Officer obtained MAARC report from 1000 block of Dakota Drive, gathered information and determined the incident to be an identity theft.
