06 16 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report June 9th—June 15th, 2023 6/9/23, 0926 HOURS, 13XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD THEFT/PROPERTY DAMAGE Officer was requested to call an employee of a company located in the 1300 block of Mendota Heights Road in-reference-to a theft and damage to property. Information was collected and a report completed. No suspect information available. 6/9/23, 1218 HOURS, 18XX SOUTH LN THEFT FROM VEHICLE Officer was called by a resident of the 1800 block of South Lane who had one of their license plates stolen off of their vehicle. The other license plate had been removed and new ones were purchased from the DMV. There is no suspect information. 6/9/23, 1527 HOURS, DODD RD/HWY 62 DWI/AOA Officer assisted State Patrol with a medical at the intersection of Dodd Rd/Hwy 62. Officer responded to the area and found an individual passed out in driver's seat of vehicle blocking traffic. Officer located a small bag containing pills. State patrol arrested driver for DWI. 6/10/23, 0234 HOURS, 35E/WAGON WHEEL TRL TS/WARRANT Officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 35E southbound at Wagon Wheel. The driver was arrested on a warrant. Prior to going to jail, the driver experienced a medical illness and was transported to the hospital. The driver was released from custody and warned on the driving offenses. 6/11/23, 0325 HOURS, HWY 62/LEXINGTON AVE DWI Officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 62 and Lexington Ave. Officer suspected the driver was impaired and conducted roadside sobriety tests. The driver was ultimately arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. 6/11/23, 2346 HOURS, 35E/WAGON WHEEL TRL TS/STOLEN VEHICLE Officers stopped a stolen vehicle on 35e near Shepard Rd. Officers arrested the adult male driver and transported him to Dakota County Jail. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen out of St Louis Park. Marks Towing impounded the vehicle. Report made. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report June 9th—June 15th, 2023 6/12/23, 0902 HOURS, 7XX LINDEN ST SWINDLE Officer was contacted in-reference-to a theft by swindle case that took place in the 700 block of Linden Street. Officer found no suspect information or solvability factors and that the victim had regained her lost assets through the bank. 6/12/23, 1348 HOURS, 6XX SUNSET LN MAIL THEFT/FORGERY Officer was dispatched to a check forgery call at the 600 block of Sunset Ln. The reporting party stated that he had checks stolen from his mailbox. The reporting party said that the checks were then used at a grocery store. Under investigation. 6/12/23, 1359 HOURS, 13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY ASSAULT Officers were called to the 1300 block of Sibley Memorial Highway for a reported assault in progress. On arrival, the suspect had fled the scene. The suspect's description was put out to surrounding agencies and a report was completed. Under investigation. 6/12/23, 1844 HOURS, HWY 62/OAK ST POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE Officers were dispatched to assist another agency for a stalled vehicle from which the driver and passengers fled. Witnesses pointed out the direction of the occupants. Officers located the occupants who turned out to be juveniles. The vehicle was stolen. The juvenile driver will be formally charged for possession of stolen property. 6/12/23, 2229 HOURS, 13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY DWI Officer was dispatched to the 1300 Block of Sibley Memorial Highway for a two -vehicle accident involving a wrong- way driver. Officers arrived in the area and found the suspect driver attempting to flee from the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for DWI. 6/13/23, 2231 HOURS, 2XXX VICTORIA RD FIGHT Officers were dispatched to a fight between juveniles on the 2000 block of Victoria Rd. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with all parties involved. After speaking with witnesses and the involved parties, officers determined that disorderly conduct occurred between juveniles. Officers cleared with warnings and advised juveniles to separate. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report June 9th—June 15th, 2023 6/14/23, 0545 HOURS, 13XX FURLONG AVE BURGLARY Officer responded to the 1300 block of Furlong Avenue on a burglary report. Homeowner noticed his garage door partially open and some contents stolen from his vehicle. Case is under investigation. 6/14/23, 1026 HOURS, 1XXX HWY 13 SUSPICIOUS PERSON Officer responded to an apartment complex in the 1000 block of Hwy 13 reference some suspicious people. Information was that there were six juveniles covering the license plate of a vehicle. All six were detained. The vehicle did not belong to them, owner could not be reached. It was impounded. All six were turned over to an adult. No crimes were committed, just skipping school and filming something for Tik Tok. 6/14/23, 1224 HOURS, 1XXX ESTHER LN IDENTITY THEFT Officer responded to the 1000 block of Esther Lane on a report of Identity Theft. Someone called the victim stating she had won the Publisher’s Clearing House and was advised to provide personal information to claim her winnings. She did so but before any loss occurred, she canceled her accounts. 6/14/23, 1719 HOURS, 7XX S PLAZA DR DISTURBANCE Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Plaza Drive for a report of a domestic assault. Officers arrived on scene and determined the situation was health related. 6/15/23, 0733 HOURS, 15XX DIANE RD SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY Officer responded to the 1500 block of Diane Road to investigate a suspicious circumstance where three silver vehicles with individuals outside of them left at a high rate of speed leaving rolls of debris all over the roadway. Investigation revealed at least one car involved that left the scene prior to officers arrival, was an unreported stolen car from Minneapolis. 6/15/23, 1558 HOURS, HWY 55/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD DISTURBING THE PEACE Officers responded to the area of Highway 55 and Mendota Heights Road for a report of a disorderly person kicking a Metro Transit bus. Suspect had left the area upon officers arrival. Report forwarded to Metro Transit PD. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report June 9th—June 15th, 2023 6/15/23, 1945 HOURS, 2X DORSET RD ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFT Officers responded to a vehicle theft in progress in the 100 block of Dorset Road. Owners interrupted the theft. Officers were unable to locate or identify suspects. Case Inactive. 6/15/23, 1957 HOURS, 1X DORSET RD ATTEMPTED VEHICLE THEFT Officers responded to the 100 block of Dorset Road for an attempted vehicle theft that had just occurred. Suspects fled the area prior to officer arrival. No suspects at this time. 6/15/23, 2236 HOURS, 2XXX DODD RD WEAPONS Officers were dispatched to 2000 block of Dodd Road for a weapons incident. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with reporting parties. Officers checked the area for the suspect vehicle and was unable to locate it. Officers took report from reporting parties and learned that the incident was concerning a second degree assault. At this time there's limited suspect information. Inactive.
