03 24 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report March 17th—March 23rd, 2023 03/17/23, 1044 HOURS, 2XXX VICTORIA RD S PROBATION VIOLATION Officers were called to the 2000 block of Victoria Road S for a reported disturbance. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody for assault and probation violation. She was taken to the Dakota County Juvenile Detention Center. 03/18/23, 2155 HOURS, 12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD THEFT Officer was dispatched to a theft of lottery tickets on the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road. Adult male suspect stole lottery tickets and left in a vehicle. Pending video footage. 03/19/23, 1450 HOURS, 2XXX VICTORIA RD S RUNAWAY Officers were called to the 2000 block of Victoria Road S for a girl who had run away from a group home. It was discovered through contact with Dakota County Crisis and the Dakota Juvenile Detention Center that the subject was in violation of her probation. Officers were requested to bring her back to the Dakota Juvenile Detention Center. She was arrested and custody was transferred. 03/19/23, 2028 HOURS, 2XXX DODD RD ASSAULT Officers were dispatched to location on a report of an assault. Suspect left the scene prior to officers arrival to the area. Case sent to city attorney for charges. 03/19/23, 2223 HOURS, HWY 13/ACACIA DR WARRANT Officer was on routine patrol on the 2100 block of Highway 13. Officer observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. Officer followed the vehicle and later observed it to make a traffic violation. Officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the adult male driver. The driver originally gave a false name to the officer. Officer learned the drivers real name and he had warrants. Officer arrested the driver and transported him to jail. 03/20/23, 1444 HOURS, 11XX KINGSLEY CI THEFT Officer was dispatched to a theft of license plate call on the 1100 block of Kingsley Ci. The reporting party advised that her license plate was stolen at some point; unknown of location or time. No suspects. 03/20/23, 1756 HOURS, 7XX S PLAZA DR FRAUD Officers were dispatched to location on a report of prescription fraud. The pharmacist believed a digital prescription to be fraudulent as the medication directions were not usual for that type of drug. After calling the prescribing doctor, it was found he had retired years prior. Under investigation. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report March 17th—March 23rd, 2023 03/21/23, 1430 HOURS, DODD RD/2ND AVE ACCIDENT Officer was dispatched to an accident with injuries at the intersection of Dodd Rd. and 2nd Ave. Officer spoke with driver #1 who stated that he was traveling southbound on Dodd Rd and was going to turn left into Somerset Country Club parking lot so that he could perform a U-turn. He advised that he slowed down so that he could turn into the parking lot. He stated that he was beginning to turn left when he believes he was hit from behind by driver #2. He advised that he did not know where driver #2 came from. 03/22/23, 1347 HOURS, 25XX BEDFORD CT AOA Officers responded to location to assist Dakota County Sheriff’s Office with an eviction. 03/22/23, 2127 HOURS, 7XX PLAZA WAY SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE Officer was dispatched to location on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Reporting party stated that a black sedan pulled up along the fence of a construction site and a 6’ skinny white male, gray hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans and boots, climb the construction fence and then observed carrying a large box. He then climbed back over the fence and left in the vehicle. Officers checked the area but the vehicle was not located. 03/23/23, 1306 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY A guest staying at the hotel called to report damage to their vehicle. The drivers side door handle, panel under the steering wheel and ignition were damaged. There are no known suspects. 03/23/23, 2051 HOURS, 19XX KNOB RD JUVENILE COMPLAINT Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Knob Road for a juvenile complaint. A person living in the neighborhood reported on several occasions a group of juveniles have been pounding on their door. Video of the juveniles were obtained. Reporting party would like them trespassed from the property if they return. 03/23/23, 2250 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR THEFT Officer responded to location on a report of a theft. Reporting party stated that sometime in the past 48 hours, someone had stolen a license plate off of her vehicle. Case pending video surveillance.
