02 17 23 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report February 10th—February 16th, 2023 02/10/23, 0808 HOURS, 7XX HAVENVIEW CT OFP VIOLATION Investigators received information of a potential order for protection violation. Investigators determined there was no violation because the OFP hadn't been served. Investigators attempted service of an unserved protection order and determined the respondent lived in another city. The information was forwarded to the respondent's home police department. 02/10/23, 0942 HOURS, 1XXX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY FRAUD Officer responded to location on a report of fraud. Victim stated that there had been several unauthorized transactions on his bank account. The bank had fully refunded the victim. No suspects at this time. 02/10/23, 1028 HOURS, 7XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD HIT & RUN Officer responded to the 700 block of Mendota Heights Road on a report of a hit and run that happened the day before. Reporting party requested a report for insurance purposes. 02/10/23, 1111 HOURS, 12XX LILYDALE RD DAMAGE TO PROPERTY A visitor at the park had parked their vehicle in a lot off of the 1200 block of Lilydale Rd. When the owner returned, two damaged windows were discovered but nothing was taken from the vehicle. There are no known suspects. 02/11/23, 1157 HOURS, 12XX LILYDALE RD THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE Officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Lilydale Road for a report of a vehicle broken into and a purse stolen. The purse was later recovered. Case inactive. 02/11/23, 1234 HOURS, 12XX LILYDALE RD DAMAGE TO PROPERTY Officer took a report of a vehicle broken into on the 1200 block of Lilydale Road. Nothing was taken from inside the vehicle. Case inactive. 02/11/23, 1331 HOURS, 13XX ACACIA BLVD THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE Officer responded to the 1300 block of Acacia Drive on a report of two thefts from vehicles. Both victims had their windows smashed and items taken from inside the vehicle. Officer found an unoccupied KOPS alert vehicle. Officer had the vehicle towed back to the Mendota Heights Police Department so the originating agency could process the vehicle. 02/13/23, 1042 HOURS, 7XX S PLAZA DR COUNTERFEIT Officer was notified by a store employee working near the 700 block of South Plaza Drive that several bills of fake currency had been passed a month or so ago by an unknown male. The counterfeit currency was retrieved and will later be sent to the US Secret Service for investigation. 02/13/23, 1549 HOURS, 1XXX WAGON WHEEL TR MISSING PERSON An individual adult male had left a group home and did not return. The male was entered as missing. 02/14/23, 1533 HOURS, DELAWARE AVE/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD PD ACCIDENT Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Mendota Heights Road. Upon arrival, two parties involved complained of minor injuries and were evaluated and cleared by medics on scene. Both vehicles were towed due to being disabled. State crash report generated. 02/15/23, 1005 HOURS, 3XX 2ND ST MENTAL HEALTH Officer received a phone call from an individual who was located at a group home in a neighboring jurisdiction. Caller made comments regarding self-harm. Information forwarded to Dakota County Crisis for follow-up. 02/15/23, 1156 HOURS, 25XX BEDFORD CT CIVIL Officer responded to a civil assist on the 2500 block of Bedford Court. The issue was involving a shared pet. Resources were provided on how to deal with a civil claim. 02/15/23, 1323 HOURS, 35E/LONE OAK RD AOA Officer assisted DTF in stopping a vehicle that was wanted for a drug offense. The suspect was transported to Dakota County Jail on 1dt degree drug related charges. 02/15/23, 1529 HOURS, 18XX DELAWARE AVE HIT & RUN Officer responded to a minor vehicle crash in the Two Rivers High School parking lot. The other vehicle left the scene. Officer is submitting a search warrant for video surveillance. Under investigation.
