11 4 22 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report October 28th—November 3rd, 2022 10/29/22, 0248 HOURS, HWY 62 &DODD RD WARRANT ARREST Officer was on routine patrol traveling east highway 62 and Dodd Road. Traveling the same direction was a vehicle with the registered owner listed as revoked and having a warrant. The vehicle was stopped and the adult female driver was the registered owner. She was arrested and transported to jail. 10/29/22, 0830 HOURS, VALLEY PARK FOUND BIKE Officers located a bicycle at Valley Park. The bicycle appeared abandoned and had no seat. Bicycle was taken as found property. 10/29/22, 1600 HOURS, 7XX LINDEN ST BURGLARY Officer was dispatched to take a phone call report at the 700 block of Linden Street for a burglary. A person reported their unlocked vehicle had been entered while parked in the underground garage. Several personal items were stolen and a possible suspect is known. 10/29/22, 1645 HOURS, 12XX LILYDALE RD THEFT Officer responded to a report of a theft/damage to property at the 1200 block of Lilydale Road. A vehicle was broken into and items were taken. No suspects. Case status - inactive. 10/29/22, 2227 HOURS, DODD RD/N PLAZA DR DWI Officer on a DWI enforcement shift initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for being stopped in the lane of traffic and an having equipment violation. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and conducted a field sobriety test. The driver was determined to be over the legal limit and placed under arrest for third degree gross misdemeanor DWI. The driver was booked and released from the Dakota County Jail and the vehicle was impounded to Marks Tow. 10/30/22, 0945 HOURS, 5XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY DRUGS Officer on routine patrol and stopped vehicle for speeding at the 500 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. Officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle; Officer searched vehicle and located narcotics. Driver was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail, where he was booked and released. The vehicle was towed to Mark's Towing. 10/31/22, 1357 HOURS, SOUTH ST PAUL AOA Officer heard SSPPD needed assistance for a weapons call near the 600 block of 1st Ave S. Officer assisted SSPPD with holding a perimeter. Officer gathered information from a neighbor. Officer assisted with perimeter until cleared by SSPPD. Officer wrote report and report was forwarded to SSPPD. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 10/31/22, 1559 HOURS, 35e & HWY 13 TS—PLATES Officer conducted traffic stop on a vehicle on 35E / 13. The vehicle had incorrect plates. There was not enough evidence to pursue charges. Case Status - Report 10/31/22, 1821 HOURS, 9XX CHIPPEWA AVE FRAUD Officer was dispatched to a report of fraud in the 900 block of Chippewa Avenue. Officer determined that a crime had taken place. Case Status - Inactive. 11/02/22, 1320 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR HIT & RUN Resident at a hotel on Northland Dr had her vehicle struck. The victims vehicle had been parked ;legally, it is not known how the vehicle got struck. The suspect driver left the scene of the accident, leaving no information behind. The victim stated that there was only one vehicle near hers. Staff confirmed this and ID was made through a second resident. Follow up pending. 11/02/22, 2100 HOURS, 13XX NORTHLAND DR MAIL THEFT Officer was called reference a theft of mail that had occurred near the 1000 block of Esther Lane. A gift containing jewelry was stolen. No suspect information is available at this time and the stolen item has not been located or found for sale online. Inactive.
