09 23 22 WEEKLY CRIME REPORT 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 Mendota Heights Police Department Weekly Crime Report September 16th—September 22nd, 9/17/2022, 2353 HOURS, LEXINGTON AVE/DAKOTA DR FLEE/WARRANT Officer observed a male commit a traffic violation on a bicycle. Officer stopped the male on Lexington/Dakota. Male fled on said bike and was apprehended after a foot pursuit. Male had multiple felony warrants. He was cleared by doctors at the hospital before he was taken to Dakota County Jail on warrants and local charges. 9/18/2022, 0315 HOURS, 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD FLEE/DWI Officer was monitoring traffic on I-35 and Mendota Heights Road. Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and without lights on. Officer attempted to stop the vehicle and it initially pulled over, but was still traveling at a slow rate of speed. The vehicle attempted to take off, but officers were able to box in the vehicle and prevent it from driving off. The adult male driver was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. 9/18/2022, 1345 HOURS, DELAWARE AVE/WENTWORTH AVE DRIVING COMPLAINT Officer was dispatched a driving complaint at the intersection of Delaware Ave and Wentworth Ave. WSPPD Officer advised that they were behind a suspect vehicle and that the vehicle was driving erratically. Officer assisted WSPPD Officer in attempting to stop suspect vehicle. Officers lost sight of the vehicle and searched the area. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle again. 9/19/2022, 2037 HOURS, 12XX 2ND ST AOA/JUVENILE RUNAWAY Officer received information regarding a juvenile runaway from another police agency. Officer learned the juvenile was located on the 1200 block of 2nd Street. Officer learned the juvenile was not at the address and was later located in a vehicle down the road. Officer took the juvenile and met with the originating agency and transferred custody. 9/20/2022, 0549 HOURS, 7XX MAIN ST SUSPICIOUS PERSON Officers received a report of an adult female loitering inside the lobby of a closed business on the 700 block of Main Street. Officers located the female and learned the female had warrants for her arrest. The female also originally provided a false name to the Officers. The female was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. 9/20/2022, 1320 HOURS, 7XX S PLAZA DR TRESPASS Officer responded to the 700 block of South Plaza Drive on a report of a terminated employee who was being disorderly. This person was subsequently issued a trespass notice. 1101 Victoria Curve, Mendota Heights, MN 55118 * Non-Emergency 651.452.1366 9/20/2022, 1602 HOURS, 11XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY THEFT Officer responded to location on a theft report. Victim stated that sometime overnight, suspect (s) are seen pulling up in a dark colored vehicle and stealing his catalytic convertor off of his vehicle. The footage is of poor quality to make anything out of it. No suspects. 9/20/2022, 1944 HOURS, 11XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY THEFT Officer responded to location on a theft report. Victim stated that sometime overnight, suspect (s) stole his catalytic convertor off of his vehicle. No suspects. 9/20/2022, 2323 HOURS, HWY 13/2ND ST DAC/FALSE NAME Officer was on routine patrol traveling south on the 1100 block of Highway 13. Officer stopped a vehicle traveling the same direction for expired registration. Officer learned the adult male driver initially provided a false name and had a driving status of DAC-IPS. The driver was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. 9/22/2022, 0205 HOURS, 35E/HWY 13 WARRANT Officer was driving southbound on 35E when he observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and showed expired registration. Officer initiated a traffic stop and learned the driver had a warrant out of Dakota County. The driver was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail. 9/22/2022, 1406 HOURS, HWY 62/DELWARE AVE AOA/ACCIDENT Officer assisted WSPPD and State Patrol on a property damage accident between two vehicles. Officer made contact with one of the drivers who admitted to striking the other vehicle and consuming alcoholic beverages. State Patrol arrested the driver for DWI.
