02 04 22 JTF 1 FRAUD — 1XXX CROWN POINT DR 01/28/22, 1034 HOURS Resident from Crown Point Dr. fell victim to a phone scam. The caller portrayed that he was her grandson, was in jail, and needed to be bailed out. Victim bought several Target gift cards from two local stores and provided the access number to the scammer. No suspects. THEFT/FLEEING — 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 01/28/22, 1046 HOURS Officer responded to a reported suspicious circumstance near the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. The involved party fled in a motor vehicle and was not pursued. It was later found that the suspect was likely a repeat theft suspect identified by employees. Video of the incident was requested. Under investigations. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 16XX LILYDALE RD 01/28/22, 1652 HOURS Officer responded to 16XX Lilydale Rd for a vehicle break in. Officer observed damage to victim's window and gathered information on items stolen. Under Investigation. DWI/DRUGS/WEAPON POSSESSION — 35E/WAGON WHEEL TR 01/29/22, 0333 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop for a speed violation. Officer observed signs of impairment from the driver and conducted a field sobriety test. The driver was ultimately determined to be over the legal limit and placed under arrest. Officer discovered the driver to be illegally possessing a firearm and controlled substances. The firearm and controlled substances were seized as evidence and the vehicle was impound- ed. The driver was booked into the Dakota County Jail for DWI, firearm possession, and possessing a firearm under the influence. The case was also forwarded to the drug task force for their review. DOMESTIC — 25XX LEXINGTON AVE S 01/29/22, 2115 HOURS Officers were dispatched to a report of a domestic assault on the 2400 block of Lexington Ave. The suspect drove away prior to officers arriving. Officers found there to be evidence of a Domestic Assault. Officers issued a KOPS alert. WARRANT — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 01/31/22, 2340 HOURS Officer knew about a male staying on the 1300 block of Northland Drive that had multiple felony warrants. Officers made contact with the male and he was arrested and transported to jail. MAIL THEFT — 22XX LEXINGTON AVE S 02/01/22, 1017 HOURS Officer was advised of a mail theft that resulted in a forged check being deposited by a suspect. A search warrant was completed for the evidence necessary for proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The case is still under investigation. BURGLARY — 17XX DODD RD 02/01/22, 1021 HOURS Officer took a burglary report from the 1700 block of Dodd Rd. The owner of a vacant home noticed the back door was forced open and something was taken from the inside of the home. No suspects known. Information gathered. Case inactive. 01.28.22—02.03.22 2 ASSAULT — DODD RD/LAKE DR 02/01/22, 1430 HOURS Officers were dispatched to a woman who was pushed out of a moving car near the intersection of Dodd Road and Lake Drive. Upon contact with the victim, information was gathered about the suspect and the day’s events. It was found that the suspect was supposed to be on house arrest. Charges were forwarded along with the report. THEFT — 25XX EXECUTIVE DR 02/01/22, 1520 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a theft in progress on the 2500 block of Executive Drive. The reporting party witnessed a suspect stealing a catalytic converter. The suspect left the scene prior to the officer arriving. Information gathered and report written. Case is inactive. AOA — 1XXX HWY 62 02/01/22, 1642 HOURS Officer was notified of a victim that arrived at HCMC with gunshot wounds and the alleged assault occurred in Mendota Heights. Case Status is under investigation. FRAUD — 18XX TWIN CI 02/02/22, 0944 HOURS Officers took a fraud report from the 1800 block of Twin Circle Drive. Resident reported their information had been used to open multiple bank accounts. This case is open pending further investigation. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY — 1XXX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 02/02/22, 1219 HOURS Resident on the 1000 block of Sibley Memorial Highway reported their truck bed cover had been slashed. There are no suspects at this time. DOMESTIC — 23XX LEXINGTON AVE 02/02/22, 1322 HOURS Officers were called to the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue for a reported domestic in progress. On scene, officers were advised that the suspect had taken the victim’s phone while she was talking with 911 operators, taken her keys and left the room. The suspect was found near the building entrance and taken into custody. He was transferred to the custody of the Dakota County Jail staff. THEFT — 11XX CENTRE POINTE CUR 02/03/22, 1349 HOURS Officer responded to location on a theft report. Business reported that a suspect drove into the parking lot, left, returned a short time later and forced entry into a company vehicle. A window was shattered and several items were stolen. Under investigation. MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT/DOMESTIC — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 02/03/22, 2152 HOURS Officers were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle theft. Officers searched the area for the vehicle and spoke with the reporting party. Officer found evidence that a domestic assault had occurred along with the motor vehicle theft. A KOPS alert was issued for the suspect. 01.28.22—02.03.22
