01 28 22 JTF 1 VEHICLE FIRE — 1XXX HWY 62 01/21/22, 1609 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a vehicle fire related call. Officers arrived and found found a vehicle with signs of fire in the e ngine bay with no driver in sight. A witness reported the driver left the scene prior to officers arriving. The vehicle was removed fro m the roadway. SHOPLIFTING — 766 PLAZA DR 01/21/22, 2042 HOURS Officer responded to a report of shoplifting. Officer spoke with the store clerk who stated an adult male entered the store, took an item off the shelf and left the store. As the male left the store, the clerk tried to stop him in the parking lot but was shoved away. This incident in under investigation. ACCIDENT — I35E/MARIE AVE 01/21/22, 2347 HOURS Officer was on southbound I-35E/Marie Avenue providing lights for an accident when they were struck from behind by another vehicle. The driver of the striking vehicle was transported to the hospital for minor injuries; no injuries reported by the o fficer. State Patrol arrived on scene to write the report. PACKAGE THEFT — 8XX BLUEBILL DR 01/22/22, 1523 HOURS A package was delivered and left by the mailbox. The resident was unaware the package had been delivered and it was taken. There are no suspects or solvability factors. This case is inactive. DISTURBANCE — 18XX DODD RD 01/23/22, 0034 HOURS Officers received a report of a disturbance at a residence. Upon officers arrival, they heard a lot of commotion coming from inside the residence. Officers made contact with the residents inside who stated they were arguing about a guest of their juv e- nile child that had been there. Parties inside stated the argument did turn physical, but no party wanted any charges and the incident was not domestic related. All parties were advised of different ways to communicate with each other to prevent altercations in the future. No further law enforcement action was taken. DAC-IPS/DRUGS — HWY 13/HWY 55 01/23/22, 1802 HOURS Officer observed a vehicle leave a hotel, make multiple traffic violations and have an equipment violation. Driver was arrest ed for a driving offense and officer located suspected narcotics and a firearm inside the car. The male driver was arrested and take n to Dakota County Jail. Case status is referred to DTF. TOW — 21XX FOX PLACE 01/24/22, 0940 HOURS A resident reported an unfamiliar vehicle that appeared to have been abandoned in the neighborhood for several days. The vehicle was marked for 24 hours and then cited for 24 hour parking ordinance violation. Several attempts were made to contact the vehicle owner. A voicemail was left and the vehicle was ultimately towed by Marks Towing. FRAUD—2XXX CENTRE POINT BLVD 01/24/22, 1447 HOURS Officer was dispatched to 2000 block of Centre Pointe Blvd on a report of fraud. Officer spoke to the reporting party and det er- mined that a crime had been committed. Officer is awaiting follow up with information from the reporting party. Case Status i s Active. ATTMPTED BURGLARY — 2XXX DODD RD 01/25/22, 0231 HOURS Officer dispatched to a report of suspicious activity or possible attempted burglary. Reporting party had an alarm triggered at their place of work in the early morning. Officers checked the area but were unable to find any suspects or damage. Prior to the arrival of officers, the reporting party had viewed surveillance footage of two suspects attempting to enter the location by force. No property damage done, nothing stolen, no suspect identification. Report as info only. DISTURBANCE — 1XXX NORTHLAND DR 01/25/22, 0437 HOURS 01.21.22—01.27.22 2 DRUGS — HWY 13/ANNAPOLIS ST 01/25/22, 1027 HOURS While on patrol, officer observed male make an abrupt turn from the intersection into a driveway and ran a license plate quer y. The vehicle query showed a revoked owner and expired registration. The driver parked and walked away from the area. Driver was identified and investigation revealed a warrant and narcotics. An arrest was made and narcotics were found. The suspect reported medical issues and was transported to the hospital. Charges pending. AOA — HWY 62/DELAWARE AVE 01/26/22, 0124 HOURS Officers were dispatched to assist State Patrol with a pursuit heading westbound on Highway 62. Officers assisted with stop sticks in the pursuit. Report made. THEFT — 9XX DIEGO LN 01/26/22, 2319 HOURS Officer was dispatched a report of motor vehicle theft. Officer spoke with reporting party and found that a vehicle and walle t within had been taken and their credit cards had been used at multiple locations. Officer gathered information and wrote repo rt. ACCIDENT — 7XX MAIN ST 01/27/22, 1735 HOURS Officer was called to write a crash report in a private business area. Information was gathered and involved parties were provided with the case number. Case status closed with report. AOA — 1XXX PARK CIRCLE 01/27/22, 2246 HOURS Officer spoke with California Law Enforcement Agency about a found property call. Officer worked with other agency's officer on locating the Mendota Heights resident. Other agency was able to locate property owner. Case Status: Information Only 01.21.22—01.27.22
