01 14 22 JTF 1 DOMESTIC — 3XX E ST 01/07/22, 1632 HOURS Officers responded to a call of a domestic assault that had occurred. Suspect was arrested and transported to Dakota County Jail and booked for Gross Misdemeanor Domestic Assault. OFP — HWY 13 01/07/22, 2214 HOURS Officer was on routine patrol and observed a vehicle traveling in front of them with equipment violations. Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the adult male driver, who had an unserved order for protection. Officer served the male an order for protection short form. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 14XX HWY 13 01/08/22, 1814 HOURS Officer was dispatched to take a report of damage to property and theft from motor vehicle. Officer located multiple victims and gathered information. DWI — SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY/RIVERSIDE LN 01/09/22, 1750 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a road and driving complaint. Officer located the vehicle and determined the driver to be under the influence. Driver was arrested and later transported to Dakota County Jail on a book and release status. AOA — SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY/RIVERSIDE LN 01/09/22, 1802 HOURS Officer was assisting another officer on a stop when they were flagged down by a motorist. Officer made contact with the motorist and found they were a missing person from another state. The motorist was then put in contact with his family. POSSESSION OF A FIREARM — SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY/RIVERSIDE LN 01/10/22, 0313 HOURS While monitoring traffic , officer observed a vehicle traveling northbound on the same block and stopped the vehicle for an equipment violation. Officer identified all three adult male occupants and had probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, officer located two firearms. One of the passengers was arrested for felony firearm violations and transported to Dakota County Jail. BURGLARY — 7XX N PLAZA DR 01/10/22, 1034 HOURS Officer was dispatched to take a burglary report from a business. The reporting party advised that they had security footage of the suspect forcing entry into the building and stealing an item from the business. Officer gathered information. Officer gathered swabs from the scene and placed them into evidence. Case is under investigation. FRAUD — 16XX LILAC LN 01/10/22, 1739 HOURS Reporting party has been receiving spam calls from “Xcel Energy” trying to get personal information. Reporting party caught on to them and did not give them anything. No loss. 01.07.21—01.13.22 2 THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 9XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 01/11/22, 1842 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a report of a theft from motor vehicle outside a residence. Upon arrival, officer learned multiple thefts from vehicle had occurred in the area between 1810 and 1820 hours. Case is pending investigation. THEFT OF AUTO PARTS — 18XX DELAWARE AVE 01/11/22, 1337 HOURS Officer responded to take a report of a catalytic converter theft that had occurred in the parking lot the previous day. Investigation active. THEFT OF AUTO PARTS — 20XX CENTRE POINTE BLVD 01/11/22, 1355 HOURS Complainant reported the theft of a catalytic converter while it was parked unattended in a business lot. Suspects entered the parking lot in a vehicle, parked next to the victim's vehicle and removed the catalytic converter. The business provided video which shows the incident but no suspect vehicle license plate is visible. THEFT—13XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 01/12/22, 1926 HOURS MHPD officers were dispatched to a theft in progress. Upon arrival, an officer stopped out with a male who had been pointed out by a bystander. The male was found to have some of the stolen property on his person. The male was issued a citation for theft and was booked and released from Dakota County Jail. SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY—14XX FARMDALE RD 01/12/22, 2251 HOURS Officer responded to take a report of suspicious email activity. The reporting party believed their spouses email was hacked. Officer determined there was no crime committed at this time. Case is informational only. 12.31.21—01.06.22
