01 15 21 JTF 1 THEFT OF MAIL — 14XX KNOLLWOOD LN 01/08/20, 1036 HOURS Officers received information about theft of mail via email. Reporting party explained that an expected check was missing from his mailbox. The check was canceled and at this time hasn't been attempted to be used. No fraudulent charges in relation to the account. No suspects known . FRAUD — 9XX CHIPPEWA AVE 01/08/20, 1408 HOURS Resident called to report fraud. They gave their personal information away to someone frequently calling from the same phone number. They cancelled their credit card. DWI — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 01/08/20, 2303 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Northland Drive for a welfare check. Staff of the business reported a driver slumped over in the parking lot. Officers arrived and spoke with the driver and observed signs of impairment. Driver performed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Driver stated they swallowed narcotics and needed medical attention. Driver was transported to the hospital by medics. Driver refused to comply with a court order for a blood draw. Driver will be formally charged for DWI - Controlled Substance and Contempt of Court. Vehicle was left at the business. DWI/IPS — DODD RD/HWY 62 01/09/20, 0311 HOURS Officer stopped vehicle for going the wrong way on Highway 62. Driver was cancelled IPS. Officer administered SFST's and the driver was placed under arrest. Driver booked into the Dakota County Jail for 1st Degree DWI refusal and the cancelled IPS violation. WARRANT ARREST — DODD RD/CHIPPEWA AVE 01/09/20, 1414 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Dodd Road and Chippewa Ave. Vehicle had a KOPS alert on it from Roseville PD. All occupants of the vehicle identified, one of which had an active warrant for arrest. That party was taken to Dakota County Jail. Other occupants were free to leave. FRAUD — 6XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 01/09/20, 1606 HOURS Officers took a phone call report of a person who received a letter regarding unemployment insurance which they didn't request. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing. TRAFFIC STOP/DRUGS — CROWN POINT CIRCLE/CROWN POINTE DR 01/09/20, 2247 HOURS Officer initiated traffic stop at the intersection of Crown Point Circle and Crown Point Drive. Driver had revoked license status and officer could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Driver admitted to having marijuana in the car. It was seized and weighed. Driver was mailed a citation. 01.08.21—01.14.21 2 TRAFFIC STOP/OFP — NORTHLAND DRIVE/PILOT KNOB RD 01/11/21, 2329 HOURS Officer was parked monitoring traffic at Northland Drive and Pilot Knob Road. Officer observed a vehicle to fail to obey street signs and go the wrong way on a one way. Officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver. The officer learned the driver had an unserved Order For Protection and served the driver the Order for Protection. FRAUD — 11XX ORCHARD PL 01/12/21, 1352 HOURS Owner of a business in the 1100 block of Orchard Pl discovered unauthorized transactions on the business account. Owner’s bank has requested a police report in order for the victim to get funds back. THEFT — 20XX DODD RD 01/12/21, 1604 HOURS Officer dispatched to a theft call at the 2000 block of Dodd Rd. The reporting party stated that equipment was stolen from outside his business a week prior. He advised that he had security footage of the suspect and of the suspect vehicle. Case under investigation. TRAFFIC STOP/OFP — 35E/LONE OAK RD 01/13/21, 0215 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of 35E and Lone Oak Rd. Officer learned the driver had an OFP and the passenger matched the description. Passenger was respondent in OFP and was taken into custody. Party claimed to have swallowed illicit drugs. He was transported to the hospital. THEFT — 23XX SWAN DR 01/13/21, 1001 HOURS Home owner in the 2300 block of Swan Dr discovered that the catalytic converter was stolen from his vehicle. The theft took place sometime overnight from 01/11-01/12/2021. There are no suspects. OFP VIOLATION — 23XX APACHE CT 01/13/21, 1519 HOURS Officer took a report of an OFP violation. Evidence collected and incident is under investigation. DWI — CENTRE POINTE CURVE 01/13/21, 1902 HOURS Officers responded to reports of a driving complaint on the 1100 block of Center Pointe Curve. Upon arrival officers located the vehicle and it had three flat tires. The driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. The driver was booked into Dakota County Jail. FRAUD — 23XX PILOT KNOB RD 01/14/21, 0803 HOURS Officer was made aware of fraud activity involving the issue of fake checks claiming to come from a business located near the 2300 block of Pilot Knob Rd. There are no suspects at this time. STOP ARM VIOLATION — DODD RD/MARIE AVE 01/14/21, 1628 HOURS Driver was dispatched to a past action stop arm violation. Officer made contact with the adult female suspect who admitted that she did run the stop arm. She was issued a verbal warning. 01.08.21—01.14.21
