01 08 21 JTF 1 THEFT — 6XX 4th AVE 12/30/20, 1226 HOURS A family living near the 600 block of 4th avenue had their mail stolen and their credit card number used to steal money out of their account. A neighbor’s video was obtained and has been added to the case file. There is no suspect information available. The report is for information purposes. DRUGS — 13XX NORTHLAND DRIVE 01/02/21, 0224 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop on the 1300 block of Northland Drive. The driver immediately refused to identify themselves and was placed under arrest. The driver claimed to have sustained an injury during their arrest and medics were called to evaluate. Medics transported patient to the hospital. A passenger was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and placed under arrest. The vehicle was impounded and charges pending drug test analysis. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — CHARLTON STREET 01/02/21, 2335 HOURS Officer assisted West St. Paul Police Department with a report of a male with a weapon on the 200 block of Thompson Avenue West. Officer stood by as the WSP officer spoke with the adult female victim. Another vehicle arrived on scene and a female occupant started to argue with the victim. The victim and female occupant started to physically fight. Officers on scene arrested the occupant and victim. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 10XX DOUGLAS ROAD 01/03/21, 1454 HOURS Officer dispatched to a theft from motor vehicle at the 1000 block of Douglas Rd. The reporting party stated that two items were stolen from her vehicle. Officer gathered information and wrote report. HARASSING COMMUNICATION — 7XX S PLAZA WAY 01/03/21, 1323 HOURS Officer investigated a report of harassment at the 700 block of S Plaza Way. Reporting party explained the situation and it was deemed that no criminal elements existed. Info only. FLEEING — 35E SB 01/04/21, 2147 HOURS Officer observed vehicle weaving while traveling SB 35E / 62. Officer attempted to stop vehicle SB 35E / Wagon Wheel. Upon activation of emergency lights / siren, vehicle did not change speeds or actively evade. Officers followed vehicle onto WB 494, then to SB 77, eventually ending up in Burnsville where helicopter overhead located vehicle. Driver was inside vehicle and taken into custody. Case Status - Arrest. 01.01.21—01.07.21 2 TRESPASSING — 13XX NORTHLAND DRIVE 01/05/21, 0949 HOURS Officers responded to the 1300 block of Northland Dr. to assist staff with a trespass notice of a resident. The resident was notified to vacate the premises by that evening so they could have reasonable time to gather personal belongings. Report written. FOUND PROPERTY — 23XX LEXINGTON AVE 01/05/21, 1026 HOURS Resident of an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Lexington Ave found a wallet. The wallet was turned over to the office staff. Owner of the wallet was contacted. Arrangements were made with the owner’s uncle to pick up the wallet at the police department. Wallet placed inside an envelope and placed at front counter. TRAFFIC STOP — HWY 62 01/06/21, 0134 HOURS Driver was suspected of being under the influence, SFSTs performed and officer concluded driver was not under the influence. Due to the totality of the circumstances, officer has filed for driver evaluation. Case Status is report. PD ACCIDENT — 13XX NORTHLAND DRIVE 01/06/21, 1748 HOURS Officer dispatched to a two vehicle accident in a parking lot at the 1300 block of Northland Dr; driver hit a parked vehicle. The driver stated that he was backing up and hit another vehicle. Officer gathered information from a witness and driver. Officer located the owner of the parked vehicle notified him of the accident. Report written. RECOVERED PROPERTY — 13XX NORTHLAND DRIVE 01/06/21, 1852 HOURS Officers responded to an abandoned vehicle on the 1300 block of Northland Dr. Through investigation it was determined that the vehicle was stolen and had different plates on the vehicle. Vehicle was confirmed and towed to Marks. 01.01.21—01.07.21
