10 16 20 JTF 1 IDENTITY THEFT — 17XX Victoria Road S 10/08/20, 1153 HOURS Officer called by a man who lives near the 1700 block of Victoria Road in reference to his credit card being used in a nearby city for a financial loss. The information was collected and the theft location was contact- ed for video evidence. No evidence was available at the store. The case is inactive. HARRASSING COMMUNICATION — 9XX Caren Road 10/08/20, 1000 HOURS Officer was dispatched to call complainant regarding harassing communication and threats made by text message. Complainant concerned that persons making the threats may know the address of their parents. Through investigation it was discovered that a text message screenshot was taken with the complainant's phone number and posted to Snapchat. Unknown individuals then sent texts to complainant. Contact was made with the individual who posted it and it was removed. WARRANT ARREST — 12XX Mendota Heights Road 10/08/20, 2310 HOURS Officer stopped out with a vehicle matching the description of a driving complaint on the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road. Upon investigation, Officer discovered the driver had two warrants and was placed under arrest. Driver was booked into the Dakota County Jail for their warrant. A second occupant of the vehicle was released with the vehicle. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 7XX Plaza Way 10/08/20, 1800 HOURS Officer dispatched to the 700 block of South Plaza Drive on a report of a theft from motor vehicle. The reporting party stated that her window was smashed and her backpack was taken. Her credit cards were also used at surrounding businesses. Case Status is Active. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 25XX Pilot Knob Road 10/09/20, 1951 HOURS Officers responded to the 2500 block of Pilot Knob Rd on reports of a theft from vehicle. Upon arrival officers spoke with the victim who stated they had a wallet, purse and phone stolen from their vehicle. A report was completed, investigation is ongoing. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 20XX TIMMY STREET 10/10/20, 0719 HOURS Officer requested to call a man living near the 2000 block of Timmy Street in reference to some items hav- ing been stolen from his vehicle the night before. There is no suspect information available at this time. Information only. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE — 6XX Winston Court 10/10/20, 1040 HOURS Dispatched to a parking complaint on a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Winston Ct. Plate did not match vehicle. VIN checked and revealed as a stolen vehicle from Savage, MN. Vehicle towed by Mark's Towing. 10.09.20—10.15.20 2 DAMAGE TO PROPERTY — 24XX Lexington Ave 10/10/20, 0210 HOURS Resident in the 2400 block of Lexington Ave reported a vehicle damaged overnight. Vehicle was unlocked and nothing was stolen. Rear view mirror was knocked off the windshield. Suspected time frame is between 0210 and 0800hrs. THEFT — 7XX North Plaza Drive 10/10/20, 1537 HOURS Two suspects entered a business and stole merchandise. Suspects fled in a motor vehicle and identities are unknown. Inactive. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 16XX James Road 10/12/20, 0757 HOURS Officer received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle on the 1600 block of James Road. Officer spoke with the victim who stated a suspect went into his vehicle and stole a firearm. There are no suspects at this time. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS — 25XX Pilot Knob Road 10/12/20, 0918 HOURS Officer received a report of theft of parts from a motor vehicle on the 2500 block of Pilot Knob Road. Officer spoke with the reporting party who stated four separate vehicles had parts stolen from them. This incident is currently under investigation. VEHICLE THEFT — 17XX Summit Lane 10/12/20, 0900 HOURS Resident in the 1700 block of Summit Ln reported a vehicle stolen from the driveway. Vehicle was taken between 1500hrs on Sunday to 0900hrs on Monday. NCIC entry made. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 9XX Sibley Memorial Hwy 10/13/20, 1950 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a theft from motor vehicle at the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. The reporting party stated that his wife's purse was taken from his vehicle. Officer watched security footage and found that a vehicle pulled up to the vehicle and a male got out of the vehicle and grabbed the purse then drove off. Officer gathered information and wrote report. TAMPERING WITH MOTOR VEHICLE — 9XX Chippewa Ave 10/13/20, 1950 HOURS Officers responded to a report of two males walking in yards and looking into vehicles near 900 block of Chippewa Ave. Calling party had witnessed the two individuals going into a car and walking towards others. The parties were located. The witness identified the parties as the suspects and they were placed into cus- tody. Both then began having medical problems after ingesting drugs. They were ultimately transported to the hospital and released from Police custody. Charges pending formal review. 10.09.20—10.15.20 3 VEHICLE THEFT — 6XX Maple Park Drive 10/14/20, 0720 HOURS Officer was called in reference to a vehicle having been stolen from the 600 block of Maple Park Drive. Vid- eo evidence was collected and the stolen vehicle was located. The investigation is ongoing. Forwarded to investigations. MAIL THEFT — 6XX Woodridge Drive 10/14/20, 0001 HOURS While at the scene of a recovered stolen vehicle an inventory search of the vehicle revealed stolen mail from a nearby address. Made contact with the homeowner who took possession of the mail that belonged to the previous owner. Stolen mail consisted of a catalog and numerous political fliers. Suspects located and transported to the hospital for an overdose. In the process of identifying suspects. FRAUD— 18XX Eagle Ridge Drive 10/14/20, 1501 HOURS Officer took a fraud report. Resident reported he was tricked into paying for a cellphone bill with prepaid credit cards. There are no suspects at this time. THEFT — 6XX Maple Park Drive 10/14/20, 1527 HOURS Officer dispatched to a theft of Halloween decorations at the 600 block of Maple Park Dr. The reporting party stated that a nine foot tall dragon decoration was stolen from his yard. Officer gathered information and wrote report. BURGLARY — 12XX Culligan Lane 10/14/20, 1745 HOURS Officers dispatched to a burglary in progress at the 1200 block of Culligan Ln. The reporting party advised that the suspect left in an unknown direction; officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Officer gathered information for the reporting party, took photos and collected evidence. Officer wrote report. No suspect at this time. THEFT — 10XX Chippewa Ave 10/14/20, 1845 HOURS Officers responded to a package theft on the 1000 block of Chippewa Ave. Suspects were gone upon arrival. Victim was contacted and provided with a case number. There are no suspects at this time. Case status closed with report. 4th DEGREE DWI — 9XX Sibley Memorial Hwy 10/14/20, 2111 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a medical on 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Store employee reported a customer had fallen. Officer spoke with the patient who stated they drove to the store and fell, but refused medical treatment. Officer observed signs of impairment and conducted a sobriety test. Patient was over the legal limit to drive and was placed under arrest. Patient transported to hospital for evaluation and legal blood draw. Patient's vehicle was impounded. Charges pending blood test results. 10.09.20—10.15.20 4 4th DEGREE DWI— Sibley Memorial Hwy 10/15/20, 0245 HOURS Officer observed a vehicle attempting to evade the officer after seeing squad on the 1300 block of Mendota Heights Road. Officer noticed the vehicle's registration was expired and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. Suspect vehicle was slow to stop but eventually pulled over where a high-risk stop was conducted. The driver was arrested for driving after revocation, and suspicion of DWI -controlled substance. Items were seized from the vehicle for evidence and testing. Charges pending blood test results. Passenger was released without charges. Vehicle was impounded to Mark’s Tow. PD ACCIDENT — 494 10/15/20, 0626 HOURS Officer was called to an area near the intersection of Pilot Knob and Interstate 494 for a traffic accident. There were no injuries but both vehicles needed to be towed. Information was collected and a report was completed. BURGLARY — 10XX Sibley Memorial Hwy 10/15/20, 0834 HOURS Officers were called to an apartment complex near the 1000 block of Sibley Memorial Highway in reference to a burglary that had taken place overnight. Forced entry into the building was found and several vehicles were broken into with items taken. There are no security cameras so DNA samples were taken from likely contact places.
