08 28 20 JTF 1 THEFT FROM MAILBOX – 21XX AZTEC LN 08/21/20, 1149 HOURS Officers took the report of a mail theft that had occurred on the 2100 block of Aztec Lane. Other mail that was recovered in the area was returned to its owners. THEFT FROM VEHICLE – 24XX VISITATION DR 08/21/20, 1726 HOURS Officers responded to a theft from vehicle on the 2400 block Visitation Dr. on reports of a theft from vehicle. Upon arrival officers spoke with a victim who stated her laptop and other items were stolen from her unlocked vehicle. Report was taken and items were entered as stolen. ROBBERY – 6XX HUBER DR 08/22/20, 0025 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Huber Dr on a report of a robbery that just occurred. Victim reported approximately four males broke into her home and demanded the keys to her vehicle. One the of the males brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspects fled in the victim ’s vehicle. Case pending further investigation. POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA – 23XX DODD RD 08/22/20, 0818 HOURS Officers received a driving complaint and located the vehicle on the 2300 block of Dodd Road. During the interaction, officers located drugs and drug paraphernalia. The driver was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DAR. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY – 7XX WESLEY LN 08/22/20, 1838 HOURS Officers responded to the report of an abandoned vehicle on the 700 block of Wesley Ln. The vehicle returned as stolen and was towed to wait for Hudson investigators. TRAFFIC STOP – LEXINGTON AVE/HWY 62 08/22/20, 1928 HOURS Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Lexington Ave and Hwy 62. Upon investigation officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found drug paraphernalia. The vehicle owner also had attempted to create fake 2021 tabs. Paraphernalia was disposed of and the driver and passengers were released pending formal tax evasion charges. TRAFFIC STOP – 35E/LONE OAK RD 08/23/20, 2251 HOURS Officers conducted a traffic stop near 35E and Lone Oak Rd on a vehicle’s tabs that didn't match the registration year of the vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver explained his situation and stated that he had just purchased his vehicle and put his old tabs on this vehicle. Driver refused to exit the vehicle on suspicion of his being impaired but officers were able to convince him to submit to a PBT. Driver blew 000. Driver was released with warnings and told not to drive since he didn't have a valid license. TRAFFIC STOP/IPS — 35E/SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 08/24/20, 0023 HOURS Officer conducted traffic stop at the intersection of 35E / Sibley Memorial Highway. Driver was Cancelled IPS. Driver was arrested and transported to Dakota Jail. License plates were seized and destroyed by Marks Towing. 08.21.20—08.27.20 2 TRAFFIC STOP/WARRANT — DODD RD/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 08/24/20, 0412 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dodd Rd and Mendota Heights Rd. Driver had a misdemeanor warrant out of Dakota County. Driver was arrested for the warrant. THEFT OF MAIL — 16XX MAYFIELD HEIGHTS RD 08/24/20, 0728 HOURS Officer responded to the 1600 block of Mayfield Heights Rd on a report of found mail that appeared to have been stolen from the 700 block of Evergreen Knoll and dumped there. Mail had checks stolen from inside it. STOLEN VEHICLE — 14XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 08/25/20, 0054 HOURS Officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Mendota Heights Road on a report of a vehicle theft. The victim’s car was stolen while he was at work. The vehicle was entered by dispatch as stolen. One suspect has been identified through additional parties. Case under investigation. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE — HWY 55/ACACIA 08/25/20, 0459 HOURS Officer conducted a motorist assist at the intersection of eastbound Highway 55 under Acacia Boulevard. Upon further investigation officer learned that the vehicle was stolen out of Ramsey County. Ramsey County confirmed it stolen and the vehicle was transported to Mark's Towing. IDENTITY THEFT — 7XX 3RD AVE 08/25/20, 0846 HOURS Resident in the 700 block of 3rd Ave received collection notices from a utility company in Dallas, TX. Resident learned that three accounts were opened using their name, DOB and social security number. Case referred to local jurisdiction. THEFT — 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 08/25/20, 1836 HOURS Officer was dispatched to a theft at the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. The reporting party stated that there were two males that came into the business and took items from the shelves and then ran out without paying. Case under investigation. THEFT OF MAIL — 12XX VICTORIA CURVE 08/26/20, 0947 HOURS Officer responded to location on a report of theft of mail that occurred on or about August 20th. No suspects or evidence. THEFT — 12XX SYLVANDALE RD 08/26/20, 1116 HOURS Officer was called by reporting party stating that his Joe Biden sign was stolen from his yard. No suspects. DWI — 2XXX DODD RD 08/26/20, 2024 HOURS Officers received a report of a male and female who may be intoxicated on the 2000 block of Dodd Road and had left in a vehicle. Officers located and stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. Officer conducted field sobriety tests on the male driver. It was determined the male was under the influence of alcohol. The female was under 21 years of age. The male was arrested for DWI and transported to Dakota County Jail. 08.21.20—08.27.20
