08 21 20 JTF 1 THEFT FROM MAILBOX – 18XX ORCHARD HILL 08/14/20, 1022 HOURS Responded to the 1800 block of Orchard Hill on a report of mail that had been stolen. Case is under investigation. PHONE SCAM—23XX LEXINGTON AVE 0814020, 1119 HOURS Officer received a call from a woman living near the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue in reference to a scam phone call that she had received. She lost a total of $950.00 from the scam. There is no suspect information available and the case is for information only. VEHICLE TAMPERING—12XX NORTHLAND DR 08/14/20, 1127 HOURS An officer responded to the 1200 block of Northland Drive on the report of someone entering vehicles. The reporting party advised that nothing was missing from his vehicle. The area was checked but the person was not located. DOMESTIC ASSAULT—7XX PONDHAVEN LN 08/14/20, 1534 HOURS Officers responded to the 700 block of Pondhaven Ln on reports of a domestic in progress. Upon arrival officers determined that an assault had taken place and a juvenile was placed under arrest. THEFT FROM MAILBOX—6XX WESLEY CT 08/15/20, 1140 HOURS Officer was called by a woman living near the 600 block of Wesley Ct in reference to the theft of her mail. She saw a female in a black truck take the check that she had placed in the mail box. There is no suspect information. Report made; information only. DISTURBANCE—7XX HILLTOP RD 08/15/20, 2313 HOURS Officers responded to the 700 block of Hilltop Road for a domestic incident. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was determined that no crime was committed. Male party gathered some of his belongings and left for the night. Incident closed. DWI—HWY 62/LEXINGTON AVE S 08/16/20, 0252 HOURS Officer stopped vehicle for equipment violations. Upon speaking with the driver, officer believed driver was under the influence of alcohol. After completing SFSTs and PBT, the driver was arrested for DWI. Driver was released to sober party pending formal charges. Case Status: closed by adult arrest. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE—12XX 2ND ST 08/16/1045 HOURS Officers received an anonymous tip that a stolen vehicle was seen near the 1200 block of 2nd street in Mendota. Officers confirmed the vehicle was stolen and had it towed at the request of the originating agency. Information only. 08.14.20—08.20.20 2 STALKING—23XX LEXINGTON AVE S 08/17/20, 0648 HOURS Officer was flagged down by a resident and informed of a harassment/stalking incident in the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue. Party stated that his ex-girlfriend was stalking and harassing him via text and GPS. Party provided GPS device to officer and it was placed into evidence. Suspect has been identified and investiga- tion is ongoing. Case status is active. STOLEN GUN—10XX BWANA CT 08/17/20, 2200 HOURS Resident on the 1000 block of Bwana Court reported a firearm stolen from their motor vehicle. Case status is pending further investigation. THEFT FROM AUTO—18XX LEXINGTON AVE 08/18/20, 0933 HOURS Resident in the 1800 block of Lexington Ave reported the theft of auto parts. Victim feels the theft hap- pened between Aug. 10th and 12th. SUSPICIOUS PERSON—LEXINGTON AVE S & HWY 62 08/18/20, 0146 HOURS Officer was flagged down by a male at the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Highway 62. Officer ob- served that the male was intoxicated and observed suspected drug paraphernalia. The male was placed un- der arrest. Officers released subject from custody and destroyed paraphernalia. Officer transported male home and he was released to a sober party. Male's car was found after he had been transported, the car was towed. Case Status is report. DWI/THREATS—HWY 62 & DODD RD 08/19/20, 0123 HOURS Officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation on Highway 62. After making contact with the driver, the officer observed signs of impairment and the driver admitted to consuming an alcoholic bev- erage prior to driving. SFST's were administered and the driver was placed under arrest for DWI. The driver continuously threatened the life of the arresting officer and made numerous threats to kill their family. The driver was booked into the Dakota County Jail for DWI test refusal and Terroristic Threats against the officer. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY—35E & HWY 62 08/19/20, 1559 HOURS Officers responded to assist State Patrol with a crash with injuries where the occupants of one vehicle fled on foot at the intersection of Hwy 62 and Interstate 35e. Upon arrival officers secured a perimeter and aided the victim. Victim was cleared and officers were able capture the suspects. 08.07.20—08.13.20
