08 07 20 JTF 1 UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE – 17XX LEXINGTON AVE 07/31/20, 0219 HOURS Officer responded to the 1700 block of Lexington to take a report of a vehicle that was taken without authorization. An alert was put out on the vehicle. The vehicle was located and returned to the registered owner. DRIVING AFTER CANCELLATION – LEXINGTON AVE/DAKOTA DR 07/31/20, 0255 HOURS Officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Lexington Avenue and Dakota Drive. Officer discovered the driver was only issued a MN ID card and his license was cancelled. Officer cited the driver for driving after cancellation and allowed the driver to park at the local business and call for a valid driver. Officer later observed the driver drive away from the business and initiated another traffic stop. Driver was again issued a citation for driving after cancellation and the vehicle was towed. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY – 6XX WENTWORTH AVE 07/31/20, 1040 HOURS Officers responded to the report of property damage on the 600 block of Wentworth Avenue. Sometime overnight, a sign was damaged. No suspects. DRUG POSSESSION – IVY HILL DR/BUTLER AVE 07/31/20, 1321 HOURS Officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle near the 1000 block of Ivy Hill Drive. The officer removed and detained the driver after smelling suspected marijuana and seeing paraphernalia. A vehicle search was conducted and a small amount of suspected marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia was found and seized. The driver was issued a citation. DOMESTIC ASSAULT – 15XX HWY 13 07/31/20, 1512 HOURS Officers received a report of a disturbance on the 1500 block of Highway 13. Upon arrival, officers observed an adult male and an adult female arguing in a parked vehicle. The two parties were separated and officers learned that the male had threatened the female with violence. The male was arrested and transported to the Dakota County Jail. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY – 7XX GRAND AVE 07/31/20, 1612 HOURS Officers responded to a report of a theft of electronic funds using the victim ’s phone. Victim stated that his former significant other had taken his phone to make a phone call and transferred money from his account to her account. Suspect admitted to the theft. Referred to St. Paul PD for charging. COERCION – 23XX LEXINGTON AVE 07/31/20, 2229 HOURS Officer received a report of coercion on the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue. An adult male was talking to an anonymous party online and agreed to trade explicit photographs. Once the male sent his photographs, the anonymous party stated she wanted money or else she would disseminate the photographs. The incident is currently under investigation. 07.31.20—08.06.20 2 ASSIST OTHER AGENCY – 17XX LEXINGTON AVE 08/01/20, 2019 HOURS Officers responded to a disorderly person. The person had been reported as a runaway from a neighboring jurisdiction. The individual was transported on a hold. CHECK WELFARE – SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 08/02/20, 2219 HOURS Officers received a report of a male wandering in and out of traffic on the 600 block of Highway 13. Officers located the male and determined he was under the influence and unable to care for himself. The male was transported to the hospital by ambulance. THEFT – 1XXX CHIPPEWA AVE 08/03/20, 1217 HOURS Officer responded to location on a report of a catalytic convertor theft. There are no suspects or evidence. Inactive. THEFT – 6XX MENDOTA RD 08/04/20, 0703 HOURS Officer responded to location on a report of theft. Two political signs were stolen from the yard sometime overnight. No suspects. THEFT – 14XX HWY 13 08/04/20, 1424 HOURS Caller from the 1400 block of Hwy 13 reported theft from a trailer. Incident occurred sometime between 7/20 and 8/2. Value of items taken is about $1500. No suspects or witnesses at the time. BURGLARY – 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 08/04/20, 1505 HOURS Officer received a report of a burglary on the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway that occurred around 1330 hours. The incident is under investigation. PAPER SERVICE – 1XXX AVANTI DR 08/04/20, 2025 HOURS Officers received a report of a suspicious person on the 1000 block of Avanti Drive. Officers located the male and learned he was given an incorrect address. Officer observed no other wrongdoing. Officer did learn there was an unserved Order For Protection that had not yet been served to the man so officers served him a Short Form Order for Protection. TRAFFIC STOP – 35E/494 08/04/20, 2304 HOURS Officer conducted a traffic stop at 35E and 494. The vehicle had a hit for stolen license plates. Upon identifying the four occupants of the vehicle, one passenger had a warrant. A replica firearm was found, suspected narcotics and paraphernalia were found. The vehicle was deemed not stolen and the three occupants were released with the vehicle. One occupant was arrested for the warrants. The narcotics were sent to the Drug Task Force for further investigation. THEFT – 23XX LEXINGTON AVE 08/05/20, 0706 HOURS Officer was called about a vehicle parked near the 2300 block of Lexington Ave that had all four wheels sto- len overnight. There is no suspect information. Case inactive. 07.31.20—08.06.20 3 INDECENT EXPOSURE – LILYDALE RD 08/05/20, 1439 HOURS A woman reported to officers that she had been walking on Lilydale Road when a male jumped out of the woods displaying his private parts and fondling himself in front of her. The victim gave a very detailed description and the suspect was located in the same place and arrested. The suspect gave a confession and received a citation for indecent exposure. DOMESTIC ASSAULT – 13XX NORTHLAND DR 08/05/20, 2337 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Northland Drive for a domestic assault in progress. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with both parties. After speaking with both parties, the male was placed under arrest for domestic assault. The male was ultimately transported to the hospital on a hold. A citation for domestic assault was put in the mail for the male. IMPOUND PLATES – 6XX 2ND AVE 08/06/20, 1649 HOURS Officer observed a vehicle in the 600 block of 2nd Ave with expired license plates that were also flagged to be impounded. Plates were removed and logged into evidence to be destroyed. Owner of the vehicle was advised. THEFT – 18XX WALSH LN 08/06/20, 2030 HOURS Officer responded to a phone call report of a theft from motor vehicle. The theft occurred on the 1800 block of Walsh Lane. A compound bow was taken from an unlocked vehicle. A suspicion in the area involving three juvenile males running from the police around 0400 hours is believed to be involved. 07.31.20—08.06.20
