06 05 20 JTF 1 BURGLARY — 7XX HWY 62 05/29/20, 0343 HOURS Officers were dispatched to a burglary in progress on the 700 block of Highway 62. While enroute, officers observed a vehicle leaving the area. The vehicle fled from officers. Entry was forced into the business and officers were unable to determine what was taken. Key holder for the business was advised. Case pending investigation. THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 7XX S PLAZA DR 05/29/20, 0956 HOURS Officers responded to the 700 blocks of South Plaza Drive on the report of a theft. Sometime overnight, a catalytic converter was stolen off of a vehicle in the parking lot. Case under investigation. THEFT — 23XX PILOT KNOB RD 05/29/20, 1535 HOURS Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Pilot Knob Road on a theft from a motor vehicle. Reporting party is the owner and stated his catalytic converter was stolen earlier that day. The cameras in the area do not cover his truck. DRUGS — 16XX LILYDALE RD 05/29/20, 2206 HOURS Officer stopped out with a vehicle parked at a park after hours. Upon investigation the officer discovered the driver had a misdemeanor warrant and the passenger possessed narcotics. It was determined the jail would not take the driver for their warrant due to Covid-19. The passenger was booked and released for 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — HWY 13/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 05/30/20, 0223 HOURS Officer assisted Eagan Police on a traffic pursuit that passed through the city. Officer assisted until the pursuit the was terminated by Eagan Police. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY — 13XX NORTHLAND DR 05/30/20, 0937 HOURS Officers responded to a hotel located in the 1300 block of Northland Drive for a report of a damage to property in progress. Caller reported the windshield of his vehicle was being damaged by his ex -girlfriend. Suspect was gone on arrival. Case pending. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES — 11XX VICTORIA RD 05/30/20, 1521 HOURS Information report related to information received from Eagan PD about a female asking what cleaners are easy to start fires. Information passed on to the EOC and the metro area. CRIMINAL VEHICULAR OPERATIONS — HWY 62/HWY 13 05/30/20, 1622 HOURS Officers responded to Highway 62 at Highway 13 for a car crash with injuries. Officers rendered aid to all parties. The driver at fault was believed to be under the influence and was arrested. He was transported to the hospital for care. A search warrant was executed for a blood test. The driver was released from custody. 05.29.20—6.04.20 2 DWI — 35E/MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 05/30/20, 1707 HOURS Officers responded to a report of a person driving the wrong way heading north in the southbound lanes on 35E at Mendota Heights Rd. Officers arrived as a female was throwing bottles at vehicles. Female was taken into custody and found to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver refused to provide a breath sample and was charged with DWI. WARRANT ARREST — 12XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 05/30/20, 2318 HOURS Officers observed suspicious behavior at a closed business on the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road. Subjects were identified and one of the subjects was arrested for an active warrant and booked into the Dakota County Jail. DOMESTIC ASSAULT — 11XX VICTORIA CURVE 05/31/20, 1905 HOURS Officers responded to the 1100 block of Victoria Curve for a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, an adult male was taken into custody. After investigation, it was found that a domestic assault had occurred, and the male was booked into jail. FRAUD — 9XX SIBLEY MEMORIAL HWY 06/01/20, 1149 HOURS Officer dispatched to a fraud report at the 900 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Officer met with adult male reporting party who stated that he received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be with Xcel Energy. Adult male reporting party did send the suspected scammer money using multiple bitcoin cash machines. FLEEING — 1XXX HWY 62 06/02/20, 0211 HOURS Officer observed vehicle parked behind a closed business at early hours. Officer attempted to make contact. Upon activation of emergency lights, the vehicle fled northbound on Lexington/Hwy 62. No plate information. No suspect information. THEFT — 7XX MAIN ST 06/02/20, 1730 HOURS Officers took the report of a past action theft from vehicle that had occurred on the 700 block of Main Street. While the vehicle was parked on the street the day before, a window was broken out and a backpack was stolen from the vehicle. FRAUD — 1XXX CHIPPEWA AVE 06/03/20, 2145 HOURS Officer was contacted with information of a fraud case on the 1000 block of Chippewa Ave. Resident reported cancelling a fraudulent purchase of two iPhones that were supposed to be shipped to their home address. No money was lost. 05.29.20—6.04.20 3 OFP NOTIFICATION — PILOT KNOB RD/NORTHLAND DR 06/03/20, 2239 HOURS Officer initiated a traffic stop on the 2400 block of Northland Drive. Officer was alerted the registered owner of the vehicle had an unserved order for protection. The driver was identified as the registered owner and was served the OFP notice. ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — 14XX MENDOTA HEIGHTS RD 06/04/20, 1843 HOURS Officers responded to the 1400 block of Mendota Heights Rd on reports of a domestic that was happening in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers determined that the domestic happened in Eagan and the suspect was arrested. 05.29.20—6.04.20
