NATURAL RESOURCES Raingarden project to begin at Henry Sibley Senior High School Dakota County, in partnership with Henry Sibley Senior High School, will be constructing a raingarden on school grounds along the Marie Avenue pedestrian trail this spring. The raingarden has been designed to capture and treat stormwater runoff from the school's ball fields before it enters the City's stormwater conveyance system, helping to filter out pollutants that would otherwise end up in our surface waters. The project is also designed to help alleviate drainage that had been flowing over the pedestrian trail causing unsafe conditions for users. At this time there are no trail closures planned, but users are to use caution during construction. The project is to begin in late May and be completed by July of 2020.
