This program features golf basics and etiquette, while focusing on loving the game.
Offered Mondays from 9:00-9:45am and 10:00-10:45am.
Maximum of 5 participants per class.

Family Kickball Tournament
Sunday, June 10 at 12:30 pm, Mendakota Park The City is teaming up with TriDistrict Community Education to
throw a community kickball tournament. We invite community
members to create teams of 8-15 people for a day of fun. Each
team must have at least 4 children on their roster. $ 45 per team

Adult Tennis Lessons Have fun, stay in shape and meet new friends while playing tennis.
All classes are taught by USTA-trained instructors.
Beginner—For those who have little or no tennis experience. Learn the basic strokes and begin to rally.

Recycling
The paper shred event last month was a smashing success! In total we collect-
ed over 21,000 pounds of confidential material that was shredded on site.

Ride to the right & single-file when other trail users are present.
Always yield to slower path users.
When stopping for a rest, bike care or emergency, move completely off the trail.
Control your speed, slow down, and use caution when approaching or overtaking
other path users.
Before passing others, be courteous and loudly announce your presence and
direction by saying "On your left," or ringing your bike bell,

fun and activities. As you hit the pavement and roadways, remember
these common sense, courteous and law abiding requirements so that we
can all return home safely after our fun in the sun.
...On Roadways...
Vehicles never ride against traffic, always bike
with the flow of traffic.
Pedestrians walk on paths or against the flow of
traffic.
Bikes ride as near to the right as practicable
Everyone obeys comes to a complete stop at
stop signs and red lights.
Honor each others’ right of way and yield to
pedestrians, bikes and other vehicles per the law
and with courtesy.
Use hand signals and turn signals; watch for bikes, pedestrians and other
cars before and during your turn.
Be vigilant, predictable, don’t be careless, and don’t be distracted.
Follow lane markings
and road signs and
watch for road hazards.
Don’t needlessly block
the road.
Use lights at night for
vehicles and ensure
clothing is reflective and
provides visibility.

TRAFFIC STOP/MARIJUANA — 2XXX Dodd Road 5/23/18, 2242 HOURS
Officer stopped out with a vehicle that was parked at Mendakota Park after hours and could smell
marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and located a small amount of marijuana.
The driver was issued a citation and released.
WARRANT ARREST— Sibley Memorial Hwy 05/24/18, 0312 HOURS
Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Highway 13. The driver was found to have a felony
warrant and was placed under arrest.
BURGLARY — 6XX Freeway Road 05/24/18, 0857 HOURS
Officer responded to take burglary report from the 600 block of North Freeway Rd. The rear garage door
was broken into. Doors and windows to the house all secure. Security system was not set off. Photos of the
damage taken.
THREATS/STALKING — 2XXX Waters Drive 05/24/18, 1325 HOURS
Officer responded to the 2300 block of Waters Dr. to a report of threats by an employee. The individual
came to get check and made threats. When the Officer arrived on scene the suspect was no longer on
scene and the manager evacuated the other employees.
ANIMAL CALL — 1XXX Delaware Ave 05/25/18, 1824 HOURS
Responded to the 1800 block of Delaware Ave concerning a loose dog. A grey/brown medium sized dog
was located near the school. The dog was retrieved with assistance from staff. Four Paws retrieved the dog.
A photo was posted on the MHPD Facebook. The owner was located and directed to contact Four paws.
CHECK WELFARE — 1XXX Centre Pointe Drive 05/25/18, 1451 HOURS
Responded to the 1100 block of Centre Pointe Drive concerning a check the welfare report. Upon further
investigation I determined there was not sufficient evidence to indicate intentional criminal maltreatment.
Refer to the Department of Human Services to review care practices at the facility.
PD ACCIDENT — 1XXX Warrior Drive 05/25/18, 1517 HOURS
Two vehicle accident on Warrior Dr, just south of Sibley Ct. Driver of the Ford Expedition was driving
distracted, and ran into the rear of the white Ford Escape. State accident report completed.
THEFT — 1XXX Delaware Ave 05/26/18, 1504 HOURS
Responded to the 1800 block of Delaware Avenue on a report of a theft. No suspects or evidence
developed. Report was filed.
VANDALISM — 6XX Mendota Heights Road 05/26/18, 2329 HOURS
Officer found that Kensington Park bathroom had been vandalized. No suspects; case inactive.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT — 2XXX Aztec Lane 05/27/18, 1601 HOURS
Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Aztec Ln on a report of a domestic assault in progress.
Officers arrived, were let in the house by the victim. Suspect was arrested for 5th Degree Domestic Assault
and 4th Degree Damage to Property. Male suspect was transported to jail. Victim was provided with a
victim's rights card.

ASSIST OTHER AGENCY — Hwy 13 05/27/18, 1620 HOURS
Officer responded to the bike trail to search for a dirt bike rider who had possibly crashed his bike some-
where between the Pool and Yacht Club and the Scenic Overlook. Two riders and their dirt bikes were
located. DNR arrived and wrote citations for operating motorized vehicles on state trails.
ANIMAL CALL — 1XXX Sibley Memorial Hwy 05/27/18, 1824 HOURS
Dispatched to an animal call at the 1100 block of Sibley Memorial Hwy. Neighbor's dog bit the victim
multiple times. Gathered information. Report written.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT — 1XXX Sibley Memorial Hwy 05/28/18, 1011 HOURS
Officers responded to a Domestic at the 1000 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Juvenile party was
involved in a physical altercation with parents, injuries reported. Juvenile arrested for Domestic Assault.
ASSAULT — 1XXX Sibley Memorial Hwy 05/28/18, 1348 HOURS
Officer took a report of an assault that took place at the 1000 block of Sibley Memorial Highway. Caller
reported that he was beaten up and his property was broken. He did not want to press charges.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE — 8XXX Barbara Court 05/28/18, 2000 HOURS
Officer spoke with an individual in the 800 block of Barbara Court whose vehicle was gone through over the
night and some mail was taken.
DOMESTIC — 1XXX Mendota Heights Road 05/28/18, 2332 HOURS
Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Mendota Heights Road on a report of harassing
communication. Officers arrived and after investigation determined the two parties are married and having
argument over a vehicle. The complainant is an employee at the establishment and did not want the other
party harassing them at their workplace. The person doing the harassing was trespassed from the
establishment.
POSESSION OF MARIJUANA IN A MV — Marie Avenue 05/29/18, 0306 HOURS
Officer conducted a traffic stop on Marie Avenue and Dodd Road. Officer could smell the odor of Marijuana
coming from inside the vehicle and conducted a vehicle search. The officer located a small amount of
Marijuana along with drug Paraphernalia used to distribute.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY — 7XX Plaza Drive 05/29/18, 1308 HOURS
Officer took a damage to property report that occurred at the 700 block of South Plaza Dr. A vehicles gas
tank had a hole in it and it appeared to be done by a drill. Gas emptied onto the parking lot. Fire
Department assessed the scene and cleared.
FRAUD — 5XX Miriam Street 05/29/18, 1515 HOURS
Resident after realizing she fell for an email scam and provided financial information. While reporting the
incident to the bank, fraudulent activity was in progress. Bank stopped activity and protected the customer.
Incident reported to police for reference to other credit protection services. Case inactive.
PD ACCIDENT — Lexington Ave 05/29/18, 1516 HOURS
Officer responded to an accident at Highway 110 and Lexington Ave. No injuries and minor damage. Parties
exchanged information and agreed to handle it between themselves.

PD ACCIDENT — Market Street 05/29/18, 1639 HOURS
Responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Market Street and Main Street. One driver was
complaining of pain in her chest. Healtheast responded and evaluated her and she did not get transported.
crash report made, and State crash report made.
TRAFFIC STOP — 1XXX Park Circle 05/30/18, 0948 HOURS
Observed vehicle N/B on Hwy 13 near Wachtler Ave. I ran the license plate, information on the plate was
the registration had been expired since December, 2016. Vehicle was stopped, driver was revoked and the
license tabs belong on a different vehicle. Driver, not the registered owner, was issued a citation for his
offenses, vehicle was impounded since the license plates were seized for evidence and the driver pulled
into a private driveway and was blocking the garage.
POSESSION OF MARIJUANA — Delaware Ave 05/30/18, 1638 HOURS
Vehicle was initially stopped for speeding in the 1300 block of Delaware Ave. Officer could smell marijuana
inside the vehicle. Passenger had a glass jar with marijuana inside it. Citation issued.

MHPD has a Medication Disposal Box in the lobby of the
PD where Dakota County residents can safely and
anonymously dispose of their prescription drugs and
over-the-counter medication.
