Dog licenses run January through Decem- ber and must be renewed yearly. All dogs over 16 weeks of age are required to be licensed. The license is available for purchase for $10 (spayed/neutered) or $15 (non spayed/ neutered) at City Hall. Proof of rabies vaccination is required. Dogs must be on a leash City ordinances require that dogs must be on a leash when they are not on private property. This is to protect people and other animals. The ordinance states that no owner shall permit his dog to run at large (including city parks and trails) and the owner shall keep the dog under restraint at all times, meaning the dog shall be controlled by a leash not exceeding six feet (6') in length. Off leash dog area The off-leash dog area is open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. There is no fee to use the park, but the dog must be licensed with the city. The area is located on city property, at the intersection of Pilot Knob Road and Acacia Boulevard. Enjoy! For more information, contact City Hall at 651.452.1850. Most are casual opportunists. They see something they like, so they break in and take it. So before you get out of your car, make sure your valuables are out of sight. Never leave these things lying out on your seats, dashboard or floor. NEVER leave any of the following on display in your car, as they are all particularly attractive to car thieves:  Cell phones, GPS receivers, laptops and iPods (or any other type of easy to sell electronics)  Checkbooks, credit cards and debit cards  Cash (including loose change in the ashtray)  Vehicle registration documents (these should always be car- ried on your person)  Private mail (especially if it has your address on it)  Wallets and purses Don't make the mistake of thinking that because you live in a low crime area, you can leave items in your car or leave car doors unlocked. Don't leave garage door openers in your parked car. Thieves will have easy access to your garage and sometimes your entire home if the door from the garage into your home interior is unsecured. 2 TAX EVASION — 1XXX Hwy 55 W 03/17/2018, 1727 HOURS Officers conducted a traffic stop at the 1500 block of Highway 55 for expired registration.
