Neighborhood Watch Meeting

Wednesday, May 10—7:00 PM
Everyone is invited to a Neighborhood Watch meeting. Chief Kelly McCarthy and Officer
Denise Urmann from the Police Department will answer questions regarding the increase in
suspicious daytime activity. In anticipation of a busy summer, we are going to get together
and talk about everyone’s roll in keeping our neighborhoods safe. Also, the owner of a
home where one recent burglary occurred will share his experience.
*Refreshments will be served.*
Plastic Bag Recycling
Available at Mendota Heights City Hall
You can now recycle clean, dry, plastic bags and film packaging
at city hall. There is a collection can inside the main entrance.
In the past month, the City Hall Plastic Bag Recycling Bin collect-
ed 2.8 pounds of plastic bags.
See the attached flyer for more information about what is, and
what is not, recyclable.

A FOND FAREWELL...
There are times in our life where the perfect opportunity comes along, a truly amazing fit
with new doors opened wide. Our own Officer Jenny Fordham Larrive, 2212, has found just
that opportunity. Jenny’s last day will be May 12, 2017, as she takes a job with the MN
Dept of Public Safety within the School Safety Center.
Many of you know Jenny as the School Resource Officer for Henry Sibley; many current and
past students know her as their trusted adult, their confidant, and the enforcer. Most of
us who know her consider her our partner and friend. Jenny has been a very visible entity
within our city and our schools. Teachers and students alike have gone to her for advice
and almost everyone who encounters her would say she gives sound counsel and is
extremely fair.
Her law enforcement career and her years of service as a School
Resource Officer have prepared her for an opportunity like this,
where she can help other officers with their training needs.
Jenny is grateful for so many things, but mostly for the
guidance, support and encouragement from so many
community members. As she told us, “This is not goodbye, it’s a
‘see you later!” We wish you all the best with this next
adventure on your life’s journey, Jenny! This department will
miss you and your energy and enthusiasm.

PD ACCIDENT — Northland Drive Friday, 4/28/2017, 0930 Hours
Responded to a property damage crash at the intersection of Northland Drive and Pilot Knob Road. State crash report completed. No citations issued.
KIDNAPPING — 17XX Douglas Court Friday, 4/28/2017, 1000 Hours
Called to 1700 block of Douglas Ct on an after-the-fact kidnapping. Caller stated hours earlier, while driving out of his cul-de-sac, an unknown male walked in front of his car, got in the passen-ger seat and instructed him to drive him to a location in South St. Paul. When victim said no, male said to do it or he would throw him out of the car and steal it. Victim complied. Suspect got out of the car near Stockman's Restaurant. No mention of weapons. Suspect information available and suspect identified. KOPS alert issued and charges pending
IDENTITY THEFT — 23XX Lexington Ave Friday, 4/28/2017, 1606 Hours
Comp who lives in the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue reported that someone had used her credit card at a pharmacy in Brooklyn Park. Comp was advised to report the fraud to Brooklyn Park PD. No suspect info at this time. Case is inactive
DAC/IPS— Hwy 13 Saturday, 4/29/2017, 1027 Hours
Traffic stop for DAC-IPS and flagged plates at London Rd and Winston Ct. Registered owner was driver, tested for DUI and arrested for multiple charges. Plates removed, vehicle impounded. Male requested ambulance to be checked out for anxiety and hypertension. Male released from custody and advised of pending charges. Medics transported male to Regions. Formal charges pending.
THEFT—10XX Downing Street Saturday, 4/29/2017, 1612 Hours
Comp in the 1000 block of Downing Street reported a theft that occurred last week. A laptop, air compressor, circular saw and miscellaneous tools were taken. No suspect information. This case is inactive
DAC/IPS — Hwy 55 Sunday, 4/30/2017, 2002 Hours
A vehicle was seen sitting still at a green left turn arrow with no blinker in the 2100 block of High-way 55. A traffic stop was conducted. After a brief investigation the driver was found to have a can-celled IPS license and was arrested.
THEFT — 23XX Lemay Shores Drive Monday, 5/1/2017, 1339 Hours
Victim had her packages stolen from her front step area in the 2300 block of Lemay Shores Dr. Vic-tim has been reimbursed by Amazon. No suspect information or description. Inactive.
FOUND PROPERTY — 11XX Victoria Curve Tuesday, 5/2/2017, 0902 Hours
Sometime on 5/1/2017 a set of keys tied to a bag were turned into the police department, keys were logged into evidence.
WARRANT ARREST — Hwy 13 Thursday, 5/4/2017, 1507 Hours
Traffic stop near 1300 block hwy 13. Registered owner/driver revoked with active Scott County war-rant. Driver made arrangement for vehicle. Driver cited for dar and transported to DCJ for warrant.

MHPD has a Medication Disposal Box in the lobby of the
PD where Dakota County residents can safely and
anonymously dispose of their prescription drugs and
over-the-counter medication.
