City of Mendota Heights Weekly Update
Fire Department Annual Dance Tonight
The 69th annual Firefighter's Dance is Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Hilton Mpls/St. Paul
Airport Mall of America (3800 American Blvd E., Bloomington) from 8:00 pm to midnight. Mu-
sic this year will be by "The Covers" - a premier band in the Twin Cities. Tickets are $12.00
each or 2 for $20.00 in advance. Tickets will be $15.00 at the door.

Buckthorn Removing Tool
The City has available a buckthorn -removing tool which is available for loan to Mendota
Heights residents. This hand tool is effective in the removal of buckthorn and other invasive
plants. The borrower assumes all liability, and must provide a $150.00 deposit (cash or check)
and proper ID prior to using the tool.
