Theft from Auto Friday 2353 hours
Employee went to leave work at a local restaurant only to find they were
missing a car window. When Officer Denise Urmann arrived she noted the car
window had been pried open, causing it to break. Missing was a chef’s knife
(for work) and windbreaker. Unfortunately, the cost to repair the car will far
outweigh the value of anything the crooks stole.
Custody Saturday 1047 hours
Caller reported the “ex” is outside and angry. Apparently he needs to change
visitation and wants it done now. Officer Bobby Lambert spoke with the young
man about adhering to his custody agreement. No further calls about changes
to the custody agreement.
Juvenile Complaint Saturday 2206 hours
Caller reported that a group of approximately 15 kids was just kicked out of
McDonalds for behaving poorly. The group is described as mostly male some
females, a few in letter jackets and a couple who appeared to have been
drinking. When Officer Peyton Fleming arrived, most were more than willing
to be on their way.
AOA Sunday 0400 hours
Officers Steve Meyer and Peyton Fleming backed WSPPD on two calls back to
back in the city. The first involved a drunk man who barged into a house
where his girlfriend was staying. All the residents except the drunk fled before
officers arrived. While they were finishing this call, a second call came out of a
disturbance with guns involved. Unfortunately this call came in by way of cell
phone and was never located.
Damage to Property Sunday 0731 hours
Resident called to report that her daughter’s car was spray painted while
parked in the driveway overnight. The car had blue paint sprayed on the hub
caps. The caller was asked by Officer Bobby Lambert to speak with the
daughter and find out more details. Case pending more information.
Crisis Sunday 2300 hours
Officer Mike Shepard received a call to meet a party who reported that her ex-
husband had called his college-age children and said good-bye. The kids and
mom discussed the conversation and contacted the police. A quick check
revealed his belongings and car were at the house. The home and area were
thoroughly searched. The man was not located. A KOPS alert (or BOLO - Be on
the Lookout) was sent to metro law enforcement agencies. Local hospitals and
cab companies were contacted all without success. Monday morning
Investigators Reyes and Spicer immediately started searching for the man. As
officers from 4 departments were gathering to begin a search, the man’s son
called to report he was now home - shoe-less, covered in dirt and blood. After

Theft Monday 1156 hours
Officer Bobby Lambert responded to a local motel when they noticed the ATM was missing. The
manager advised it was likely taken between 1600 -2300 hours the day before. They will review video to
see if anything was recorded. The manager was attempting to locate a serial number / model number
as well as a total value of the ATM and contents.
Theft from Auto Monday 1712 hours
Victim reported to Officer Todd Rosse that when she left for work in the morning she found a box of
miscellaneous stuff was missing from her car. About a block away from home she found in the road
some Lego’s that had been in the box, and her husband located some paperwork in the neighbor’s yard.
Crisis Monday 1157 hours
Officers John Larrive and Bobby Lambert assisted a Dakota County Park Ranger working the trail areas in
Lilydale. The Ranger was dealing with an unstable male who was verbally accosting trail users.
Crisis Monday 1639 hours
Mom called 911 when her daughter attempted suicide. Officer Shepard arrived at the house a few
minutes after the call but found only the younger sister at home. After contacting mom on her cell
phone it was learned the pair was en route to United Hospital. Officer cleared.
Bee stings / AOA Monday 1640 hours
Officer Mike Shepard and HealthEast Ambulance were sent to a local home where the caller reported
they were stung about 50 times by bees. The neighbor was with her at the time of the call she was not
experiencing any symptoms. They requested the officer/paramedics use the front door as there were a
lot of bees flying around the back door. Assisted and cleared.
Burglary Monday 2311 hours
Officer Fleming, VonFeldt, Rosse and Sgt Convery responded to a burglar alarm in Lilydale at a
construction site. Officer Fleming located and arrested a known burglar shortly after arrival. Officers
from multiple departments assisted with securing the perimeter and searching the building. The burglar
car was seized and he was booked into the DC Jail. A complaint was drafted the judge authorized
release but required they post $100,000 bail with many conditions placed upon their release.
Not Funny Tuesday 1522 hours
Caller reported that multiple times this year someone has posted an ad offering to give away the pile of
bricks the caller in his back yard. Each time they remove the offending ad off-line some reposts it. Now,
a plywood sign is posted in the front yard: “No Free Bricks.”
Warrant Tuesday 2345 hours
Caller reported two people sitting in car outside of business staring at them. Officer Todd Rosse arrived
and stopped the car as it was leaving. After a similar business in WSP was robbed, employees were
asked to call the police for any strange activity. The driver of the car was revoked as well as having
active arrest warrants out of Ramsey and Hennepin Counties. He was transported to the DC Jail by
reserve Officer Pentel.
Warrant Wednesday 1254 hours
Officer John Larrive ran the license plate of a vehicle and learned the registered owner was revoked and
wanted in Hennepin County. The car was stopped and the driver was identified as the owner. After
confirming the warrant, the driver was arrested and given a ride to jail.
Neighbors Wednesday 1426 hours
Officer Bobby Lambert responded to the most recent complaint of two neighbors who hate each other.
The caller reported that earlier in the day his 83 YOA neighbor stopped in front of his house and yelled,
“You f---ing moron” at him and drove away. Neighbor was not home during the day. To continue….
