Our chaplains represent several faith communities in our area. Our chaplains are on a weekly on-call rotation and respond to a police officer’s request for assistance for calls ranging from a death notification to a family crisis situation. The chaplains help provide calm in traumatic situations and can assist in locating helpful resources. The chaplains are also able to stay with family members while police officers conduct their business or are dispatched to another call. If you wish to contact our chaplains, please contact the Men- dota Heights Police Department Administrative Office at 651.452.1366 or the West St. Paul Police Department Admin- istrative Office at 651.552.4200. If this is an emergency, please call 9-1-1 immediately. “Sexting” refers to the sharing of nude or semi-nude and sexually provocative photos via mobile phones, but it can happen on other devices and the Web too. First of all, research shows most teens don’t “sext” and second, most of those who do have not experienced negative consequences. However, for those who do sext, especially teens, there are both psychological and legal ramification, especially when coercion is involved and the images wind up being distributed beyond their intended audience. In fact, 20% of open cases that law enforcement investigates involve sexting and child pornography.
