2015-02-17 Adam Whitcomb Eagle Scoutpage 45 (fitp of '41enbota �Ctgbt,5 J)rortamatton WHEREAS, the vision of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare youth in America to become responsible, participating citizens and leaders, who are guided by the Scout Oath and Law; and WHEREAS, Adam Whitcomb, a student at Henry Sibley High School, and a member of Boy Scout Troop 264, has completed the requirements and received the rank of Eagle Scout November 18, 2014, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America; and WHEREAS, Adam's Eagle project included completing a butterfly garden restoration project at Mendota Elementary. The project consisted of building five benches, weeding two butterfly gardens, and building pits into the ground for future fitness stations; and WHEREAS, twenty five friends, family and members of Troop 264 worked 4 hours to complete the project on August 16, 2014; and WHEREAS, Adam is also active in Cross Country, a captain for the Nordic Ski Team and the Link Crew at Henry Sibley High School; and WHEREAS, Adam Whitcomb serves as an example to youth through his high level of personal achievement, leadership and community service and has made the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota very proud. NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY PROCLAIMED that the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights hereby recognizes Eagle Scout Adam Whitcomb.
