A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT THE FAA NOT ISSUE
090° HEADINGS OFF RUNWAY 12L UNTIL DEPARTING
AIRCRAFT REACH THE END OF RUNWAY 12L
WHEREAS, the FAA currently issues a 090° heading for aircraft departing
off Runway 12L with the departure clearance, and
WHEREAS, this practice sometimes causes aircraft to fly north of the
established 090° corridor boundary, and
WHEREAS, at times this procedure, along with wind, causes aircraft to fly
considerably north of the established Mendota Heights/Eagan Corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Mendota Heights does endorse the FAA issuing departure heading
instructions at the time departing aircraft reach the end of Runway 12L.
