1957-12-03 Minutes of Mendota Heights Village CouncilWaNUTES OF THE ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS The adjourned meeting of the Village Council, Village of Mendota Heights, was held at the Village Hall on Tuesday, December 3,1957,at 8:OOP.M. All Council members were present. Upon motion of Trustee Krammer, seoonded,by Trustee Horning, it was resolved that that the minutes of the previous meeting be accepted as presentod.Ayes : -5; Nays: -0. A letter to the Council from Trusted Horning was read to the Council by Trustee Horning. In his letter Trustee Horning stressed the importance of an adequate financial allowance for the Planning Commission in the 1958 budget. Mr. Guy Kilnhofer, Planning Consultant of the Minnesota State Department of Business Development, addressed the Council in behalf of the Planning Commission. Ie stated that good Village Planning now is of paramount importance. He also stated ,,that the type of Planning made by the Planning Commission to -day would determine what type of Village Mtendota Heights will be to- morrow. Mr. Carl Dralke,ohairman of the Planning Commission, informed the Council that an adequate appropiation for the Planning Commission is urgent.He discussed the possibility of tho Planning Commission making a contract with a professional Planning group. Several of these groups are in the process of being interviewed. Upon motion of Trustee Kramer, seconded by Clerk Stary, it was resolved that the minimum lot sizes on the following lots in the Curley Valley View Addition be waived; BLOCK 5- Lots 1 and 2 may be combined and used only for a single building site.
