1957-03-18 Minutes of Mendota Heights Village Council) 44 Regular meeting The regular monthly meeting of the Mendota Heights Village Council was held at the Village Hall March18„19570 at 8:00p.m.. The roll being called, the following members werapresent; Trustees horning, Sweney, Krammer, and Clerk Stary. Absent; Mayor Edman. Acting Mayor Horning presided over the meeting.. On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Krammer, resolved that the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with. Ayes-4i Nays1-0. It was unanmously resolved by the Council that the.100 foot minimum lot width an lot 1,. Block 4,in the Gardenville Rearrangement be waived and that Al Ekblad be issued. a building permit to move and relocate his house on said lot. The citizens Committe appointed for the purpose of determining whether or not the Village should take over the kendotallater Company, recommended that the Village not take o'er the Mendota Water Company at this time, Trustee Krammer reported that Dakota County has accepted the Wagonwheel Trail Road as a County Road effective immediately. On motion of Trustee Krammer,seconded by Clerk Stary, resolved Walter H. Carlson, 1081 South Smith Avenue be engaged to make a survey of the Chippewa Avenue area drainage problem so that a satisfactory conclusion can be arrived at. Aye:-4; Nayso,C On motion of Trustee Krammer„ seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that the 100 foot minimum front width on lots 9 and 11 in the Rogers Lake Addition be waived, but that lots 12 through 17 in said Addition be rearranged so as.to conform with the 100 foot front minimum lot width. On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Kramer, resolved that an appropiation of an amount not exceed 4120.00 be authorized for the purpose of enabling two members of the fire department to attend the Minnesota fire School to be held April 22 through 26,1957. Ayes:-4; Nays:-0, On motion of Clerk Stary,seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that the Treasurerts report be accepted. Ayes:-4; Nays:-0.
