Special Meeting
A Special Meeting of the Mendota Heights Village Council was held at the Village
Hall February 11, 1957, at 8:00 p.m. The roll being called, all the members. were
present.
On motion of Trustee Swaney, seconded by Trustee Horning, resolved that the reading
of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with. Ayess-5; Nays:-0.
A 40 by 120 foot parcel of property toasted between the Fire Hall and the Friendly
Hills property line was offered to the_ Villae by Friendly Hills free of charge.
) Friendly Hills was requested to present the offer in writing so the Village could
prooeed to acquire said property.
It was deoided that Trustee Horning. Village Attorney James Oppenheimer, Village
Engineer Ed ache', Friendly Hills, and the McCarthy Well Company confer and dicour:s
what work had to be accomplished prior to the acceptance of the Friendly Hills well
by the Ville.
On motion of Trustee Horning, seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that that the
Village accept the final partial plat of the Leone Rearrangement which is part of
Culligan Knoll. This acceptance is contingent upon the provision of a 100 foot
diameter cul-de-sac at the end of the road. Ayes;-5; Nays:-0,
On motion of Trustee Horning, seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that Morrell
and Nichols be given the job of looating each and every home in Mendota Heights at
a. cost not to exceed 200.000 Ayest-5; Nayst-0.
On motion of Mayor Edman, seconded by Trustee Horning, resolved that a request
for a reduction in real estate tax from M.B. Bream and Son be denied. Ayes;-5; Nays:-0.
On motion of Mayor Edman, seconded by Clerk Stary, resolved that a request for a
reduction in real estate tax from N,T. Mears be denied. Ayessw5lays0.
A report from Adolph Meyer in regard to the Mendota Heights proposed Well Ordinance
was referred to the Planning Commission.
On motion of Trustee Swaney, seconded by Trustee Horning, resolved that the meetink,
be adjourned. Ayes;-5; Nays:-0.
