A continuation of the Hanuary 21,1957 meeting was held at the'VilleR:e Hall.
February 5,1957at 8100 p.m..
The proposed Well Ordinance was read by Councilman, A.W. Horning, and a general
disoussion of the various points was held as the reading of the Ordinanoe transpired.
Several Village residents and other interested people were presents Among the non.;
residents present werei Tom Renner, President of the National Well Drillers Association
Pja. lbodward, State Director of the division of Sanitation, and his assisstant Mr.
40patrick, Adolph Meyer, representative for the St, Paul Home Builders, and Mr.
Edward Kishel, consulting Engineer, The purpose of this reding was to discuss the
Ordinanee.. No decision on the passage Of the Ordinanoe was intended at this time.
A group of residents from Tilsens Highland Heights were granted the use of the
Village Hall for the evening of February 5,1957, A.aharge of $3.00 will be made to
help defray Village expense,
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Horning, resolved that the Vill&ge
of Mendota Heights appoint James R. Oppenheimer Village AttOrney for the period ending
December 31,1967, at a retainer,fee of $2,000.00 per year. This fee is to cover ordinary
and necessary routine legal matters relating to the operation of the Village Governmen
with extraordinary litigation to be compensated at a'reasonable rate to be determine0
in-a4Venee of doing such work by a majority of the Village Council, Ayes:-5; Nays-O.
4ipoision on the acceptance of the Leone Re-Arrangement was deferred pending
further study and investigation,
Qeotion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Clerk Stary, resolved that the meeting
be adJoioned until February 11,1957, Ayes t-5; Naysf-O.
