A special meeting of the Village Council,to consider the proposed Well Ordinance,
as set fez. January 15,195# at the Village Hall at 8:00 p.m,;. The public is invited.
The Village Council petition to the State for the installation of flaJhing lights
r--9,t the new Mendota School Was .denied.
2 On motion of Trustee Kramer, seconded by Trustee Remit-1g, resolved that the
Village .snow plow the roads in Frivnaly Hills Addition unit 04' AyesI-5; Nays-0�
Trustee Krammer agreed to notify Friendly Hills that it not necessary to black top
the fire lane from the Friendly Hills Property lino to the Village }tall.
On motion of Trustee Krammer, seconded by Trustee Horning, resolved that the
following resolution be adopted ; RESOLVED that the Village of Mendota Heights hereby
employ Wilfred Franzmeier as Road Supervisor for the period ending December 31,1957,
at a salary of $500.00 per month, subject to termination of employment by the Village
on thiry days written notice given after hearing thereon and approval by a majority
of the Council, Resolved further that the Road Supervisor have the following respons0 •
bilities; Set up & take down snow fences, Snow plowing, Sand roads, Blade roads, Haul
in necessary fill, Haul in & spread gravel, Maintain culverts, General road maintenance
Maintain & install street signs, Maintain & install load limit sign,.Wntain &
install ..speed signs, Need inspections & cutting, Maintain Fire Hall, Install & remove
voting boeths, Maintain Village road equipment, Prepare & submit to the Commissioner
of Reeds a weekly report on the form provided. Keep records of helpers time, and
such other duties and responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned to him
by the Village-Council. RESOLVED FURTHER that the Road Supervisor be authorized to
employ temporary help at the rate of Wix221 61.75 per hour, but only upon authori
zation of the Commissioner of Roads. Ayes:-5; Fayst-0.
Mayor Edman appointed Trustee Swency to arrange for the financing of the Marie
Avenue and the Delaware Curbing projects.
Mayor Edman was authorized to svt the license fees for 1957. Trustee Sweney
