SPECIAL MEETING
A special meeting of the Mendota Heights Village Cadiiti was held at the Village
Hall August 27, 1956, at 8:00 p.m..
The roll being called 4 the following members were present: Trustees Wweney, Horning
Kramer, and Clerk Stary. The Dakota County Engineer, H.E. Palmer was also present.
Mayor Edman Presided over the meeting.
• On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Kramer, resolved that the reading
of the minutes of the previous meeting be dispensed with, Ayesv-5; Nays:-0.
The following bids for the gradigg and graveling of Marie Avenue were received;

On motion of Trustee Kramer, seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved,that the awarding
of the bid for the above project be postponed for 30 days due to the fact that the
necessary easements have not been obtained. Ayes:-5; Nays:-0.
On motion of Mayor Edman, seconded by Trustee Kramer, resolved that the seal coat
hearing,in regard to roads in the Snmerset Hills Addition, be postponed until Sept. 5
pending furthur investigation b interested parties. Ayes:-5; Nays:-0.
On motion of Trustee Horning seconded by Trustee dweney, resolved that the amendmar_
to the Builging Code Ordinance 7/4, amending an ordinance to regulate the Construction
of buildings, as is now before the council, be adopted. Ayes:-5; Nays:-0.
Mr. Lennertz. Attorney for Friendly Hills Inc., formally protested the part of the
amendment increasing the minimum lot size to 15,000 square feet.
Dr. Owens forma ily protested the fact that the minimum lot size was not increased
to 20,000 square feet.
On motion of Trustee Horning, seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that the ammendmE
to the Land Subdivision Ordinance #2, ammending an ordinance to regulate the subdivis:
and platting of lands,as is now before the Council, be agppbedi:„ Ayes:-5; Nays:-0.
A letter from Tilsen Dilt Homes Inc., in regard to the Council accepting the roads
in Tilsen's Highland Heights Addition, was referred to H.E. Palmer for recommendation,
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Clerk Stary, resolved that the meeting be
adjourned until September 5, when it will reconvene. Ayes:-5; Nays:-0.
