Horning, !Crammer and Clerk Stary. Mayor Edman presided over the meeting.
Pursuant to a resolution of the Village Council of the Village of Mendot

revolution specified and heard ill parties and persons concerned for and against sale
improvementand after dud consideration of the matter the .following resolution was
adopted,., viz.: Be it resolved by the Village Ceunoil that the said improvement is
necessary and should be made and the same is hereby ordered to be made wholly by
contract to be let to the rawest bbalOonsible bidder as by law required. The entire
expense of said improvement to be paid in the first instance, out of the Road and
Bridge fund. And at a date to be hereafter fixed by the Village Council., it will give
notice of a hearing to be had for the azsessmenta of benefitts on property benefitted
bV said proposed impi°oVement.

It was unanmously resolved bqr the, Village Council that Walter Carlson draw .,„p
specifications, bid proposals and the assessment dole for the curbing of the West si'.:,
of Delaware Avenue from Dodd Read to Emerson Avenue.
A petition from property owners on Hiawatha Avenue to correct the drainage
problems: on Hiawatha was accepted by the Village Council and referred to Emil Kramer
for study and recommendation.
A letter from Dion Spavin in regard to flood damage was received by the Village
Council and referred to the road supervisor for Study and correction.
A letter from Mrs. Joseph WL'ielt sh in regard to building a home on a lot on
Annapolis Avenue was received by the Village Council and referred to #he Planning
Commission for study and a reeommendatiene
A request from Frank 4telter to build a garage 3 feet from the property line
was referred to the Buiading Inspeetor for study and recommendation.
A hearing in regard to making imprarvemstts on Hiawatha Avenue at a post of
approximately 180000.00 was set for September 17, 1956. The cost of said improvement
to be levied against the benefitted property owners on an assessment bslia.,.
On motion of Clerk Stary seconded by Mayor Edman, resolved that the meeting: r
adjourned until it will reconvene August 13, 1956. Ayes : -5; Nays:-0.
