The adjourned meeting of the Mendota Heights Village Council was held May 1, 1956
at 8:00 p.m., at the Village Hall.
The roll being called, the following members were present ;: Trustees Sweney,and Krammer,
and Clerk Stary. Trustee? .orni .,g„vprr,esided over the meeting in the absence of Mayor Edman.
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Krammer,resolved that the reading of
the minutes of the April 16,1956 meeting be dispensed with. Ayes: -4; Nays : -0.
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Clerk Stary,resolved that the letter from the
•Superintendant of School District, #2, in regard to the development of Marie Avenue East to
Lexington Avenue for a school entrance road , be referred to the Road Commissioner for
study and recommendation. Ayes : -4; Nays: -0.
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Krammer, resolved that upon recommen-
dation of the Planning Commission, the petition of Fred Klietz, requesting that certain
)property-abutting Victoria Avenue, berezoned from Farm Residential toM -I, tommercial
District, be denied. Ayes : -4; Nays : -0.
RESOLUTION
On motion of Trustee Sweney, seconded by Trustee Krammer, Resolved by the-Village of
Mendota Heights, that the salaries of the following'specified officers be as shown;
Mayor $60000 per year
Trustees $.42000 (each) per year
Clerk $750.00 per year
Treasurer $320.00 per year
Constables $1200.00 (each) per year
Assessor 000000 per year
Deputy Assessor $600.00 per year

On motion of Trustee Krammer; seconded by Trustee Sweney,-resolved that the action
of this Council taken April 16, 1956, adopting a Toning Ordinance, be rescinded.
Ayes : -4; Nays :m0.
RESOLUTION THE ADOPTION OF A ZONING ORDINANCE
XAn Ordinance to regulate and restriotthe height, number 62 stories and size of buildings
and other structures; the percentage of lot that May be 'Occupied; the size of the yard,
courts,, and other open spaces; the density of population; the location and use of buildings
and land for trade, industry,residence, or other purposes; creating districts for said
purposes and establishing -the boundries of such districts ; providing for changes in the
regulations, restrictions, and boundries Of such districts; defining certain terms used
herein; providing for enforcement; axi imposing fines and penalties for violations was
introduced by Trustee Krammer. The Following; Acting Mayor Horning, Trustees Sweney and
Krammer, and Clerk "Scary,, alll of the members of the Council having previously read the
proposed Ordinance„ reading was waived,,
On motion of Trustee Krammer, seconded by-trustee Sweney, it was resolved that the
Ordinance to regulate and restrict the height, number of stories and size of buildings and •

On motion of acting Mayor'Horning, seconded by Trustee Sweney, resolved that the
meeting be adjourned at 9 :35 p.m., until it will reconvene May a ,11956.
