Res 2005- 52 Approving JPA with LOGISCITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS
DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA
RESOLUTION NO. 05 -5.2
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A "JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN
LOGIS AND THE CITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS and APPOINTING BOARD
MEMBERS."
WHEREAS, the Emergency Communications Committees of the City of Mendota
Heights reviewed the need to upgrade Records Management Systems (RMS);
and
WHEREAS, the Count of Dakota utilizes the Local Government Information
Service (LOGIS); and
WHEREAS, the LOGIS group purchased the Motorola RMS product; and
WHEREAS, it appears that all other communities in Dakota County are moving
to or have moved to the LOGIS group; and
WHEREAS, it is vitally important to share information with neighboring
communities; and
WHEREAS, the LOGIS product will work seamlessly with the new county wide
JPA Dispatch Center; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City of Mendota Heights
hereby agrees A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN LOGIS TO BE
governed by a Joint Powers Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mike Aschenbrener be appointed to serve
on the board of directors for LOGIS and Stacy Kaiser to be appointed serve as
his alternate; and
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights this 19TH day of July,
2005.
