RESOLUTION 05 -56
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT
FOR AN ACCESSORY STRUCTURE AT 1933 DODD ROAD
WHEREAS, Paul and Megan Plum have applied for a Conditional Use Peinuit
for an Accessory Structure at 1933 Dodd Road [Lot 29, Somerset Hill, PID #27- 71050-
290-00] as proposed in Planning Case #05 -29; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application
at their regular meeting on July 26, 2005; and
WHEREAS, The Planning Commission voted to recommend that the Council
approve the Conditional Use Permit for an Accessory Structure as presented to the
Planning Commission on the evening of July 26, 2005 and as shown in Planning Case
#05 -29;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Mendota Heights that a Conditional Use Permit for an Accessory Structure for
1933 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #05 -29 is hereby approved on the
following conditions:
1. the location of the shed shall meet the zoning standards for setbacks
2. The shed shall be painted to snatch the color of existing home, and in the event
the house is painted a different color, that shed shall be repainted to match the
new color of the home.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in support of the above approval, the
Council hereby makes the following Findings of Fact:
1 The proposed shed is consistent with the requirements of the zoning
ordinance.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Conditional Use Peniiit for an
Accessory Structure for 1933 Dodd Road as proposed in Planning Case #05 -29 under the
above conditions would not have an adverse impact on the health, safety, and general
welfare of the citizens of the community and the surrounding land, and would not be
adverse to the general purpose and intent of the Zoning Ordinance.
