the Village Hall June 17, 1957, at 8:00 p.m.
The roll being called, Trustee Sweney was absent.
It was unanamously resolved that the reading of the minutes of the previous
be approved as submitted.
A public hearing in regard to blacktopping roads in Tilsen's Highland Heights
and the Curley Valley View additions, Somerset View, Kirschner and Guadalupe
addtions at a rate of not rnore than 1.25 square yards was set for July 15, 1957,
at 8:00 p.rn. , at the Village Hall.
On motion of Trustee Krammer, seconded by Trustee Horning, that the
Village Council accept the Survey of the Chippewa Avenue drainage problem,
submitted by Road Engineer Walter Carlson, and that Mr. Carlson also
prepare am estimate of the cost of repairing and blacktopping roads in this area:

It was unanarnously recommended -by :_,the Council that Marie Avenue be opened
from Delaware Avenue to South St. Paul provided the County agreed to pay
for the above work. West St. Paul, South St. Paul and the Dakota County
are to be notified of the request.
It was recommended that the speed limit signs in the Friendly Hills area
be changed to 20 MPH instead of 30 MPH and that Highway 49 speed limits
be lowered. Trustee Sweney was requested to check with the State Highway
Department.
On motion of Trustee Krammer, seconded by Mayor Edrna.n, BE IT RESOLVED
that the grading plan of Delaware Avenue from Emerson Avenue to 700 feet
South of Emerson Avenue be accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sanitary sewer plans for Delaware
Avenue from Emerson to Ruby Drive be accepted and approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the storm sewer plans for Ruby Drive
from the West line of Delaware to 171 feet West of South Smith Avenue be
accepted and approved.

On motian of Trustee Horning, seconded b: '-Lrustee Krammer, it was resolved
that the Rogers Lake replat, submitted by Paul and Helen 1‹-ressin, be
accepted. Ayes: - 4; Nays: - 0.

The final proposal of the Well Ordinance was submitted to members of the
Council for study. The airing of this proposal will occur on July 15, 1957.
Mayor Edman was authorized to serve notice to Friendly Hills Inc. to the
effect that they have not submitted an annual report on their water system.
On motion of Trustee Krammer, seconded by Trustee Horning, it was resolved
that Drs. Sprafka, Ude, Chao, and Mrs. Lepakko be appointed to the Mendota
Heights Board of Health. Ayes: - 4; Nays: - O.
It was unanamously resolved by the Council that the bill of Morel.and Nicholas,
in the amount of $933.60 be approved. Ayes: - 4; Nays - O.
On motion of Mayor Edman, seconded by Trustee Krammer, it was resolved
that a building permit be issued to Mr. Joe Zwach allowing him to build an
addition to his home Z7 feet from the street provided that the Planning
Commission and his neighbor, Mr. Bessick approve. Ayes: - 4; Nays: - 0.
On motion of Trustee Krarnmer, seconded by Trustee Horning, it was resolved
that the meeting be adjourned. Ayes: - 4; Nays: - 0.
