RESOLUTION NO. 07- 13
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR AN ELECTION ON
$2,790,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, as follows:
1. Project. This City Council has investigated the facts and does hereby find, determine and
declare that it is necessary and expedient to issue general obligation bonds to defray the expense of the
acquisition and betterment of an existing par 3 golf course for use as park or other recreational facilities.
2. Election. The proposition of authorizing the issuance of not to exceed $2,790,000 bonds
for said purpose shall be submitted to the qualified electors of the City at a special election to be held on
Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Said election shall be held between the hours of seven o'clock a.m. and eight o'clock
p.m. The polling places shall be:
Precinct 1: Somerset Elementary School, 1355 Dodd Road,
North Gymnasium
Precinct 2: Mendota Heights City Hall, 1101 Victoria Curve,
City Council Chambers
Precinct 3: Mendota Elementary School, 1979 Summit Lane,
Gymnasium
Precinct 4: St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 700 Wesley
Lane
Precinct 5: Friendly Hills Middle School, 701 Mendota Heights
Road, Gymnasium
3. Notice and Ballot. The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to post and publish
according to law a Notice of Special Election and Ballot, and to prepare ballots for the question for use at said
election, which notice shall be in substantially the following form:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election will be held in and for the City of Mendota
Heights, Dakota County, Minnesota, on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, between the hours of 7 o'clock a.m. and 8
o'clock p.m., at which time the following question will be submitted:
"Shall the City of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, be authorized to issue its general obligation
bonds in an amount not to exceed $2,790,000 to defray the expense of the acquisition and
betterment of an existing par 3 golf course for use as park or other recreational facilities?"
The polling places for said election will be:

NOTICE: BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU
ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
The maximum amount of increased levy as a percentage of market value is
.014327%.
The amount that will be raised by the new referendum tax rate in the first year it is
to be levied is $267,750.
INSTRUCTION TO VOTERS:
If you wish to vote in favor of the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the square before the word "YES". If
you wish to vote against the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the square before the word "NO".
4. Manner; Canvass. Said election shall be held and conducted in accordance with the
statutes of the State of Minnesota applicable, and the City Council shall meet as required by law for the purpose
of canvassing said election and declaring the results thereof.
