1987-05-20 Board of Review.a4 LEP Page No. -2- May 20, 1987 CITY OF MENDOTA HEIGHTS DAKOTA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA Minutes of the Board of Review Held Tuesday, May 20, 1987 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Mendota Heights met as the Board of Review at 7:30 o'clock P.M. at City Hall, 750 South Plaza Drive, Mendota Heights, Minnesota. Mayor Mertensotto called the meeting to order at 7:30 o'clock P.M. The following members were present: Mayor Mertensotto, Councilmembers Blesener, Cummins, and Witt. Councilmember Hartmann had notified the Council that he would be absent. Mayor Mertensotto turned the meeting over to Assistant County Assessor Bill Peterson. Assessor Peterson informed the audience that he and several other assistant assessors were present to review the estimated 1987 market values. He informed the audience that the State Tax Department has mandated a 90% ratio of market values to sales and that residential market values were therefore increased as follow : homes valued at $50,000 and under, 15 %; values $51,000 to $80,000, 6 %; $80,000 to 100,000, 2 %; values $100,000 to $115,000, 7 %; and values above $115,000 were increased 10 %. Commercial and industrial property values were increased by 10 %. Letters were received from Mr. & Mrs. Richard Gabriel, 670 Apache Lane; Murray M. Kieffer, 897 Nina Court, Mr. & Mrs. Richard Mullins, 781 Ridge Place; and Gail Wirth, 2153 Fox Place. Mr. Peterson and the assistant assessors then met with individual property owners wishing to discuss valuations. A roster of those in attendance is attached.
