AN ORDINANCE REGUL&TING THE USE OF HIGHWAYS IVITHIN TI-JE
VILLAGE OF MENDO"LVA HEIGHT&I INCORPORATING PRMSIONS OF
THE STATE HIGHWAY TRAFFIC REGULATIONS ACT BY REFERENCE,
AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATIONS THEREOF,
The council of the Village of Mendota Heights do ordain as follows:
ARTICLE 1, HIGITWAY TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT INCORPORATED
BY REFERENCE, The regulatory provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1945, c. 169, as
amended by Laws 1947, and Laws 1949, are hereby adopted as a traffic ordinance
regulating the use of highways, streets and alleys within the Village of Mendota Heights
and are hereby incorporated M' and made a part of this ordinance as completely as if
set out here in full.
ARTICLE II., PENALTIES, Any violation of the statutes adopted by
reference in Article I is a violation of this ordinance when it occurs within the Village
of Mendota Heights. Any person thus violating any provision of this ordinance shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not to exceed $109.04 or by
imprisonment in the county jail for a, period of not to exceed 90 days; but if. a minimum
fine or imprisonment is prescribed by the state highway traffic act for an offense, such
penalty shall apply to a person convicted of the same offense under this ordinance.
